    Got the dog in 1989. strong dog. decent lamper, daytime work with a terrier. got a good number of daytime hunted up hares. took a while to mature.bomb proof temperament. good feet and coat. lived 17 years.

    but would you not say that since threads on here lamping 101 rabbs a night etc there has been an increase? like everyone going to the fens after it became famous test for a dog. i couldnt give a shit about decent lads coming up without permission, its just the chavs that see it as rabbit paradise that come up, wreck it then f**k off and ruin it for those of use that have to live and hunt here all year round. and whippet i would never tell anyone where i hunt, dales is a big place joel there has always been muppets maybe it is worse today.

    people have been going up to the dales for donkeys years with and without permission.i can remember lads from where i lived going there 25 years ago. where there are rabbits people will go.

    had a beardy /greyhound 1989 onwards lived 17 years. a honest dog who gave his best.decent lamping dog daytime work with a terrier. knocked over a good number of daytime hunted up hares. bomb proof temperament. a strong dog who had very little injury problems.

    A couple from a place my old mate lived south cumbria early 90s.

    Real bad quality pics dont have a scanner. some tarns in cumbria fished lots of these.

    i would consider a beddy/greyhound. my old mate had beddy crosses 30 years for the mooching/daytime hunting up game and take feather. hit cover no problem. some were headstrong when young but put the work in and you can end up with a decent dog.generally when mature laid back temperaments. just a opinion. good luck.
