    size wise robert and ive seen a fair few of this cross, ive seen them range from 24-28 height to shoulder. i like the cross to be honest. wish you well with the pup.

    used to fish the stretch at hurst green but its not day ticket its on the warrington anglers permit. but a cracking stretch of river. salmon sea trout brownies barbel and chub.

    for anyone intrested in cumbrian characters read about joss naylor the king of the fells. a fell running legend.there is something in the water up there regarding stamina-hounds -lurchers- people.

    been going to the lakes for the last 30 years fell walking, fishing mountain tarns, followed the cumbria beagles and watched foxhounds a time or two. the terrain the foxhounds work on and the stamina they must have is incredible. some of the local blokes are like mountain goats themselves.

    unfortunatly you do lose stock over the years and upsetting it can. i thought bleeding from the mouth would suggest internal bleeding. but the cause of it would better to come from a expert.expect to lose animals especially when you work them a occupational hazard in some cases. although others never seem to get injured i am mainly taking about dogs here. all you can do is carry on its all part of the experience of owning animals.good luck for the future.atb

    it will be intresting to hear how these turn out from this beardie dog in the right hands.anyone with a inclination to own a beardie half cross would have a difficult time trying to access a pup apart from going to the obvious.

    all my lurchers have had collie in them. 1/2 collie 1/4 collie and so on. i only ferret and mooch these days. the ferreting is mainly in woods and copses etc. when the time comes for a new pup this is a type i would certainly consider.

    back in the day the stud dogs did im told get some work. i think his son thomas did a bit with them.last dog i had off them was in 1989 and to be honest i dont know much about them these days.
