  8. as above. but ask yourself are you really happy in your present job? ive moved jobs quite a number of times in the last 30 years. sometimes a good decision sometimes not. in this present climate the lure of a full time job would be very appealing.
  9. country cover club insurance. 10m public liability, covers ferreting. website www.ccc3.org.com. £19.99 a year i think. maybe cheap enough. ive heard yorkshire lads dont like parting with money.
  10. theres a pic of a 11 week old pup on preloved now.
  11. both smashing looking dogs. wish you good luck in the future with them.
  12. not seen any whippets so cant comment. seen quite a few whippet/greys since the late eighties ferret, lamp., mooch, and take daytime hares. must admit i like the cross. as for injuries i can only comment on 2 watched over a long period of time. one was worked into his dotage without any real problems. he was mated to another whippet/grey and a bitch was kept back. she proved to be very handy on the lamp but was finished with foot and wrist problems at 5. both these dogs would mark well work with ferrets, lamp, catch daytime rabbits hunting up. the dog was the better on hares than the bitch.
  13. nice to see. good luck with the pup. hope your lad enjoys the sport.

  20. There used to be Herd not far from me, bred and worked Beardies, in South West Scotland, I could be wrong, but i think Hancock had his strain. hancock got his original stud dog remus from tom muirhead. tom muirhead started his line with a bitch from skye and a dog from beatock.tom muirhead farmed from 1956-1977 at birckleugh farm in crawford john lanarkshire. he moved in 1977 to anston farm in dunsyre lanarkshire till 1990. then moved to kirkconnel in dumfrieshire. he then retired to carnwath lanarkshire. he died in 1994.
  21. good to hear she is doing well are you pleased with her so far? the teenage phase will come you just have to have patience sometimes of a saint. Were really pleased with her, been so easy to train, but has on a couple of occasions turned and given me the look....im sure you will know the look i mean lol i certainly do. with mine i couldnt push him in any way training wise. very short sessions worked well with this dog. good luck with your pup.
