The best day for numbers was 64 with the ferrets great day in great company.... My favourite day was probably a 22 when the dogs done most if the work, I also watched a great catch that day when a rabbit bolted with my hob attached, it jumped a good foot in the air and kicked the hob off only to run 20 yards or so before the little lurcher picked it up.. I was shouting with exitement ( how unprofessional lol).... A few good nights and some great times with the kids on little mooches not big numbers but I've got a feeling it will be my little girl and not the boy who carrys the game on..... S

I wasn't bothered what size the tits were mate, the enquiring mind was key though lol Used to sit next to a girl in science who had an enquiring mind, and lacy knickers lol.... Fishing and nesting were faves too And fires, no kid would be without a pen knife and a box of matches... We set a huge oak tree alight once, filled a hole in the trunk with paper and wood, poured a bit of petrol on and up it went and up and up until it was licking the top branches about 50ft up, fire brigade came and we watched them put it out from out back garden lol..... And nicking any booze you co

Haha, bet that stung a bit mate... It's the amount you would laugh with nerves with games like that..... Every time you were chased as a kid with your mates you could hardly run for laughing...... It's the old shitting yourself laughter lol

1) kerby ( what a game, one you could never tire of) 2) garages ( a football game we played in the council garages, 2 player game, you had to defend your goal ( the garage door) and score in they're goal ( the opposite garage door), top tactic was kicking the ball onto the garage roof and judging where the ball would roll off and fall to be headed or volleyed into the goal....... Which was good for another game, running the garage roofs and not falling through the rotten asbestos sheets lol 3) Jungle Jim ( getting from one end of the woods to the other without touching the floor... Haha... I didn't want to sound self indulgent mate I can promise you that, I didn't know what to put as the title for the thread..... So came up with that crap lol Only once did I get a bad reaction to the song, a couple left the pub when we played it, he was white and she was black.... But it wasn't meant as a racist song, it was my stab at a political song ( im no Dylan i know)I'm not racist at all but I know what you mean now, there's not much you can say.... I love the idea of the band, " the true prophets" lol..... We still play a little but it's not he same as when your 21, it us

I was in the hospital all day yesterday with my wife and then sat for hours in the waiting room with my mother and father in law, we talked at length about our childhoods and i thought about this thread... Sad but I did They told me about playing in the bombed out houses in post war times, making catapults, having stone fights, playing in huge gangs, fighting other gangs, making chariots out of old steel baths, jumping on the torpoint ferry ( they're from Plymouth) and playing in the woods on the other side of the river... Nesting, fishing, ( the father in law grew up on the rivers fishing wi

Had to google that one mate...... Funnily enough he started out in a Rolling Stones cover band called " Tumbling Dice".... Before forming Srewdriver..... ( I hope i'm on about the right bloke this time lol)... I never wrote political stuff this was a one off after a drunken discussion one night.... Normal shit lol Got a mate who's right into the punk scene, always on about " cock sparrer", goes to the punk do's around the country, with a few lads who all drink in our local.... He came around and watched us a fair bit, we weren't punk, but he said he enjoyed it........ He's my mate lol Cheer

I'm not sure if that's a compliment or a piss take or a bit of both lol...... An ex rolling stone..... Well it's better than Rod Stewat, I think lol Cheers Kev

Glad to see you back mate, hope your heads in a good place now.... Get a decent ferret report up, there's some real lame efforts at the minute.... Mine included lol Good luck mate Kev

Cheers lads, it just popped in my head earlier, it was written about 15 years ago but we probably haven't played it for 9 or 10 years....... When I read it I can hear the tune, but I'm not sure it works as a poem really.... You need out of tune guitars clanging about behind it, and a pissed up crowd lol......

I used to write a few songs and play in a band.. We don't do so much now, but still get in the studio occasionally for an hour or two........ When driving today I remembered a song I wrote when I was around 21, it seems quite apt with a few of the posts recently.... The song was called ..Immigration Do you hear the whispering, I can feel unrest A nation that is wakening With issues to contest No more the majority I fear our shores are being swamped And in this tiny country It's starting to get cramped But don't you call me a racist, when a realist fits me fine I was warne

Interesting views on all of this, but hey ho here's my take on it.... I have a 14 year old daughter, her phone is vetted, her lap top is snooped on, she doesn't walk around the streets EVER after dark, both me and my wife openly explain and discuss the dangers she faces at this age, under age sex, smoking, drinking, drugs..... Don't forget kids today can be corrupted in their own house through the vile twats who float around the Internet sites, this alone is a problem most of our parents never had to contend with.... On they're phones at school they can share vile porn, boys see things at

I hunt with a lad who's from the isle of Mann, I think you'll find decent numbers out there by all accounts.... He would see them at night mainly though.. Cheers Kev

Cheers lads Tomo: That tree always holds mate, I'm glad it made you feel a little nostalgic.... Unfortunately a lot of the fields and hedgerows we done as kids has been ripped up and replaced with a bloody great tescos, roads etc... Cheers Kev

Cheers lads Your right The One, my eldest girl is too girly, but the little one is dead keen and my lad enjoys ratting and fishing more than ferreting... or so he tells me lol Anything to keep them of of the bloody computer games....

There was nothing much planned this weekend, we've had a good few weeks lately and had a few out of the hedges, but this weekend I was on my own so it would be a couple of walks with the dogs and a few ferts/nets on the smaller burys....... a good old fashioned mooch Saturday morning was cracking lovely sunshine and it was good to be out, I headed for an old oak tree right in the middle of stubble field, it normally holds a couple and sure enough the terrier soon marked. a few nets on 2 ferrets in and the thumping began, it took a while to shift but after a fair while of the dogs trembling

Some nice pics there Wirral Countryman.... Well my Jack russel, can not stay at home when we're out with the ferrets, she would sulk. Cry and try to run through the door lol.. I agree with Sirius on this one in the main, if I had a straight choice between a lurcher or terrier for ferreting it would be the lurcher.......... But I love ferreting with a terrier, once they get it they mark solidly, and rarely falsely, mine has caught plenty from un-netted holes, she'll follow the ferret that's moving underground, if I'm out on my own she'll guard nets etc......... Bad points, Hard mouthed ain

Good bag mate, like you spade too, must be all sand on your land lol

Well Fuji all I can say is you don't half get some stick, you always come over very well on here, but it must get on your tits at times lol... I didn't see it coming on this thread though... I thought this thread was for Baw, he just failed to get a rise lol...

Nice one mate, done the same myself this morning...a little walk with the dogs and couple of ferrets, had one from under an oak tree, and missed a couple home by 11 for bacon and eggs and a family day... I'll do the same tomorrow, just nice to be out early... Cheers Kev
