As I was driving down the A38 on Friday night windscreen wipers on full blast and with the forecast the same all weekend I questioned the wisdom of a Sunday jaunt out with SeanC. But it was bright and clear Sunday morning, I tried to wake my lad as he had insisted he wanted to come but was struggling to get his head off the pillow..... just getting the gear out of the door and Fin appeared at the bottom of the stairs "Dad, wait I'm coming".......... why these muslim threads keep coming up on here is beyond me, FCUK THEM...........but posting these vids and giving them time of your life is exactly what they want...........im as annoyed as the next man...........oh Allah, you are but a fool...... Then again maybe it's a good thing mate.... To let people see what's going on, we haven't got a big Muslim population where I live, but I get around the country a bit and see the difference In other areas... Thanks Johnny, your right about the funding, I had a long chat with one of the doctors and they struggle to get much money for their research etc.... The country in a lot of ways is going to the dogs, but this trip gave us a little faith..

Thanks for the replies lads, we've got a few hurdles this year but I think next year should be a lot better... I know what your saying RAW had it ourselves, and my mum... You do tear your hair out at times.... But credit where it's due and this time they were great...

I find it hard at times to see where our taxes go, and I have a good old moan like most. This week changed my moany mind....... Even if for a short time.... The wife has a few health issues at the moment and to be honest with 1 problem our local hospital did not know how to deal with it, so she was refered to st Thomas hospital, in London........ What a difference..... The specialist team who dealt with her were amazing and the leading professor in this field spent half an hour with her ( along with 14 other docs!!!!)..... From the nurses to the prof these were some of the best people.... Sh

As has been said hats off to all these lads ive,close mates out there now, and I know how much it affects them. The night before my mate went this time we went for a beer, it's his third tour, the last one was a bad one. He didn't want to go, but like he said its his job. Another mate from childhood been a marine all his working life, been on a lot of tours and seen a lot of shit. He came out and came to work for me and my brother.... He hated it with a passion..... Heard a lot about these 2 dogs, it would seem like they both have put some gear away... Fair play to that snipe dog and his owner for still going strong at his age, credit where it's due.... Are you getting a pup paid??

Don't know weights, but my 3/4 x is lighter framed than my brothers 1/2 x and she's a better runner IMO... Only used on rabbits obviously, but she's a bit quicker and better turning... The ones I've seen have been fairly light weight and I wouldn't think they would have weight issues as long as they get ram and fed properly.. Cheers

Really sorry to hear that mate, my thoughts go out to his family I've got a mate out there on his third tour was with him the night before he went and he didn't want to go at all, I've another mate I played football with who was near enough dead in the helicopter and will never be the same again, the courage of the boys out there is something to be admired I have nothing but respect for them.... Few bad sledging injuries in the paper today, one lad leg cut wide open and another in intensive care with head injuries after hitting a tree.... I think we should be getting a fair whack of snow over the next few days, so the body boards will be out on the weekend...

A mates dad worked for tremletts ( they're boat builders) when we were kids, he made a fibre glass sledge that looked a bit like a bob sleigh, that thing was unreal, we'd get 3 of us on if and if flew.. Took it up the pitch and putt, golf course, one year, taking air off of the bunkers, went home black and blue... But back the next day for more lol The normal nicked for sale sign was the norm before that beast though lol....

I would say it is quite a good sign mate, I was a little concerned when it never stopped raining that the rabbits would breed at all ( would they find dry warrens etc), everything seems quite normal we usually start finding young now, and this year is no different... I guess the key is not to be too greedy now, it's not a problem to miss a few to keep them going, leave a few nets off and give the dogs a run..... That's only my view as its not my job just my hobby, I'm sure there are others who wouldn't want to miss one lol....
