My big dog is 9 this year, the little lurcher is 14, got 4 ferrets still .. don't know what next, I think I'd struggle not having a running dog about, but dont think itll be another big un...

We had a real good one down here mate, followed the local beagle packs... Could ring her anytime of night.. sadly she died a few years back, not found anyone like her since tbh, really was into working dogs, she kept lurchers and a couple of terriers as well .
  3. I tell my lad not to get involved in all that shit as well mate and he's only 18, it's not worth the aggro but we're old and as youngsters didn't give a f**k...I'm the same though, will avoid aggro as much as possible as 1 it hurts more now and 2 I don't want to spend a day in a cell for that bullshit ..but I'd still struggle to walk away from a bully being a bully, particularly if it was to a girl... Maybe should walk the other way, but it's instinct not to and I think most decent lads are the same
  4. Love the pubs in Ireland mate, spent a lot of time in Black Rock and Dundalk, where my family are from, and had great nights plus those you think back to and realise you were lucky! Lol My mum was over with my cousins for Paddy's day, sent me videos of the live music in the, the march etc..looked brilliant.. not been over for a few years, but hopefully will get over to see family and have a few Guinness's later this year
  5. Got to agree, I don't go in town much anymore, but enjoy a pint in our old local haunts, get to see lads you haven't seen in a while and catch up, we host up here alot now so tend to habe my good mates abd family around in our bar more than going out. My old man ran a pub in North Devon for 15 years or so, first few years were mental, lots of locals liked to pick a fight with us Townies! Lol .. it was good fun as a young bloke, birds loved us and the blokes hated it lol... Twice spent a night in the cells for sticking up for people, I hate a bully and struggle to walk away from that type
  6. Telegram for Mr mongo Me Mongo... Loved that film as a kid lol
  7. Eat it whilst it's fresh, crab linguine with chilli, garlic and coriander...
  8. One of the lads who works for us his Mrs works in Brixham picking crabs, she worked last night and he brought me in this today.. As fresh as you can get the best sandwich around imo
  9. Absolutely bizarre.. the bloke was so weird as well, plus the bloke who starred in it and wrote it is the person it all happened too...mental
  10. Got to agree, I think it may actually happen this time, I can't see Fury risking the backlash of pulling out again, plus like you say these last 3 pr 4 fights if they all get made are huge pay days that he won't be able to resist.

I think yours is faulty mate lol
  12. Said for years earning money buys you time, which is priceless.. great stuff mate
  13. Anytime mate, look forward to it, I'll make sure the bar is well stocked! Lol
  14. Yeah it's nearly always "I wish I travelled more" or "I wish I'd moved to...."... I think education is amazing if followed through to the end and utilised to it's potential, fantastic, I think it's a complete waste of time if it's 4 years on the piss to scrape a degree of sorts and start looking for work at £25k a year at 24 years old ... I love listening and working with educated people, my accountant is 73 years old and maybe the sharpest man I've ever known with numbers, I've known him a lot of years and still am amazed at some of the planning, financial advice, dare i say "dodges" he talks
  15. Tank for me is the better all round boxer, but I think Garcia would be more comfortable at welterweight so not sure Tank would gain much by following him up the weight classes,, I'm guessing Garcia will fight Haney again at a catch weight then move up to welter, Crawford is way too much for him at that weight as is Ennis imo, I can't see any of them moving up a class abd troubling Crawford tbh
  16. I'm the same mate, every city we go to we go in the cathedral, I'm not religious just something about them. There's a decent little art shop in cathedral yard, worth a look. Glad you got about and enjoyed it mate, it's a nice part of the world, you should've given me a shout I would've come and met you for a cuppa...
  17. Haha...yeah, wasn't perhaps the best phrasing when handing out compliments lol
  18. Good on your daughter mate, sounds a good screw. Your lad will find his way, they all do in the end mate... I know what you mean about construction, but make him more rounded, look at Estimating, QS work, Draftsman etc, you can learn a trade and off shoot into other parts of it... I know you've done well in the game so he'll be learning off you anyway.
  19. The 2nd pic with the coffee is looking at Lympstone/Topsham over the River Exe estuary, the first pic with the boats is the Exeter canal at Turf Locks, that's where the canal ends and enters the river mouth near Powderham Castle. I grew up near Topsham right on the river, loads of good memories on the canal and river mate.. Where abouts on the Exe where you?
  20. Many things will take you far beyond the "average" tradesman mate, yes a good degree can be one of those things, but I honestly think a lot of it is mindset. There are only so many top surgeons, top lawyers etc all have dedicated to study and their career, fantastic I tip my hat to them.... but like you say there are loads of people who go to University purely to appease pushy parents, or as it's the driven option at college (we are witnessing it now with Finley, his teachers can not work out why he wouldn't want to go). I guess I see it from point of view of successful working class, bu
  21. Good on them mate, that's great going for such young adults.. you must be really proud and rightly so. I guess I think there is opportunities for anyone with the right work ethic and if you want to step up your earnings then you need to take right amount of risk. The really wealthy people I know personally are entrepreneurial and extremely driven only one of them I can think of went to Uni, he worked for F1 for a bit and set up a very successful security camera/sensor business where they designed and installed security systems sold the company for a song and set up a clever scanning booth
  22. Funny I was yapping to my lad when n Saturday, hes 18 finishing his A levels in a few months in Biology and Chemistry plus a music production course..we got taking about university/jobs future plans etc... he's a bright lad and got his head screwed on, he said to me only one of his friendship group has gone into a trade (bricklaying), the rest are all going to Uni. His words were over half of them 20 years ago would've gone into a trade, they aren't super clever and the courses they are doing leaf to bog standard jobs and a pile of debt. I'm all for education but I agree with him, it's almost
  23. Fair play to him mate .. Good mate of mines wife ran it for her local scout group, not sure how much she raised though ..
  24. I think all of those players are gone mate, strangely maybe Maguire could stay, considering he has to last ditch defend constantly as there is zero protection, he does ok.. Also Varane, lindleoff, Evans, Ericksen and probably wan Bissaka... None of them even make the bench at City, Liverpool or Arsenal... Time to invest in some of these youngsters and add the right kind of experienced players, not past there best former stars...
