  1. Yeah its not cheap to watch any of the bigger gigs now, Eden project is a great venue bit like you say too expensive, I paid a bit for the Radiohead gig last year, but id waited 30 years to see them lol
  2. Seen weller on the Stanley Road album tout, half of Ocean Colour scene was his band... 97 maybe? Great gig
  3. We had an Italian foreign exchange student stay at our house when I was 17 he was 15, me and my brother are still good mates witg him now. We've been over to him in Bormio a few times, he is a ski instructor, taught all our kids to ski (and us lol)... he sent me this on Saturday morning He was one of the time keepers for the men's downhill.. said "you have skied on an olympic slope"... the downhill slope was in Bormio... they are mental the speed they hit going down there, we are obviously shit and its scary enough lol... my Italian mate broke his back in a bad fall skiing for Ital
  4. He has, found out a couple of days ago, my mates just messaged to ask if i want to go and watch the pixies at the Eden project instead... Was a bit gutted to be honest, Billy Joel cancelled last year when we had tickets, trying to see a few of the older ones I've missed over the years before its too late...

My youngest girl passed her driving test yesterday, she was so nervous/anxious the night before I wasn't sure she'd even go... that's it now I've got 3 taxi drivers to pay me back for the years of lifts lol
  11. I think I went around 4 roundabouts in 15 states in America, they hardly exist... so some Americans had probably never seen one to add to the wrong side of thd road, carnage!
  12. Had to check myself earlier as well, had a site visit and nearly pulled out on the wrong side of the road..lol.. 30 odd years driving in the UK only 7 weeks driving in the states and im on the wrong side of thd road ffs!! Lol
  13. Bit of both... in the office back at it, loads to organise and the lads are sick of the rain..got to be honest bit depressing from bright blue skies and sunshine to grey, miserable and raining Oh and the jet lag killing me, overnight flight and didn't sleep a wink, wide awake until 4-30am last night and night before... you know the feeling, that muzzy head and not able to concentrate...lol Glad to see the kids, can tell they missed us (even my lad who's too cool to.let you know lol).. making a proper fuss of us, eldest has been cooking for us, put up.welcome home banners...she's men
  14. Yeah your right mate, needs a log more time to see it all, this has got me looking at future trips already, lol Glad you enjoyed the pics mate, boring the shit out of everyone here lol
  15. Congratulations mate, That's something to look forward to, what a great place for the youngster to grow up.
  16. At the airport now mate, sat with our last smash burger and a farewell pint... That whole coastline is stunning, to be honest I prefer the area further north, Big Sur, Santa Cruz etc.. it was heaving in Laguna Beach as it was a Saturday and roasting hot, was a cool place though... We loved San Diego, stayed at Mission Beach on the pacific coast side, that felt like how I've always imagined Califonia, I could people watch there forever lol... the trip has been amazing all round, thanks for all the heads up things to do/see.. we're sad to be leaving but uts been nearly 7 weeks, longer
  17. The last full day and weve made San Diego, stayed in Laguna Beach last night, had a good night watching a decent pub band, made a couple more American friends over a few beers! Lol This was really good today, the museum on USS Midway, in San Diego hatbour..very interesting. Last motel before we leave tomorrow, right on the beach, proper California, huge boardwalk with roller bladers, skater boarders, bikes, etc all out in the sun...what a place to people watch!
  18. I watched that on you tube earlier, how embarrassing lol
  19. The sharks will get there last chance today
  20. You should really be in California mate 28 degrees today!
  21. Sounds amazing! I think that's our next trip, probably start in Montana, then accords to West Coast Oregon and drive the 1 down to California... need to get home and graft a bit first lol
  22. To be honest the drive from Santa Cruz to here has been beautiful, Big Sur area particularly, that stretch of Highway 1 reminds me of the Cornish North Coast, very dramatic cliffs into the Sea, but the mountains and the Redwood forests behind give it an extra special back drop that can't be compared...in awe of the place mate
  23. Yeah that's our general plan, huge thr coast to San Diego, so will definitely check out Corona and Emerald Bay, thank you. Have you been to Solvang? An old Danish town in the Ynez valley, we stayed there last night after a short time in Los Olivios, that's an interesting place, loads of tap houses for the local vineyards... we really liked Solvang as well, quirky place, a little touristy but had a nice vibe...trying to avoid LA, been told plenty not to bother, so we wont lol
  24. Spotting Whales on Santa Barbara beach and thos racket is going on behind me
