    Not being funny to some of the lads on here that's been into dogs for years, but why piss on someones chips when all they're doing is asking for a bit of advice? Like I said J, grey/collie/whippet is a good type, good luck

    Exactly what I meant, grizzly bears, one of the biggest CARNIVORES on the planet, eat MILLIONS of berries and vegetation, 'omnivores by nature'

    Dogs, carnivorous by classification and dentition, and predominantly carnivorous, but also omnivorous by nature. They eat a fair bit of vegetation, all my dogs have always ate quite a lot of grasses and herbs. Don't see the problem in feeding some cooked carbs in a mixed mainly raw diet either

    had one was my first lurcher 37 years ago was from a miner what a lovely looking dog was out 4 or 5 times a week good allrounder as you say never had a injury until it snapped its neck on a moor taking blue hares same as yours died happy lol would i get anorther no Why would you not have another mate ?? Good all rounder out 4/5 times a week never injured what more can you ask for ?? Was thinking the same, but from what I can gather NL 'click's with beddy x's, i e, they're his type of dogs NL, wasn't answering for you, more thinking out loud really lol

    Aye but that is an apprenticeship rather earn 112 notes a week than pay thousands to get the same qualification. When I started my training it was £33 a week lol

    Well, having read the reports it says the dog would've stood 7ft on it's hind legs. Not so hard to imagine, probably the same lines as the hound of the baskervilles, an early forerunner if you like

    A brindle beddy/whippet with a shiny collar, 'proper' dogs, will 'smash' anything that moves, FACT!!

    Was thinking that myself, the reds and the amount, but sounds a good result. In general I find most people are ok with hunting to put food on the table and for pest control, and with him making the pies himself, well, job done

    Besides freezing, worming regularly will do your dogs the world of good. Not digging, but in my mind regular worming is a must, however you feed your dogs

    No but plenty of goodness all the same. Green tripe forms about 25% of my dogs diet. Lamb and beef tripe. Older bitch we have loved lamb tripe as a youngster, about the same percentage as you feed gaz. Don't know if it's got more worms in it than any other tripe, but our dogs get wormed very regularly whether they need to or not.

    Ironic really, at moment I'm listening to The Hunt, by Tony McPhee, anyone remember him? Not that I agree with his policies/ethics etc, but a very powerful track and a great artist

    S h h, I think the point jf1970 is making is while your dog may have been playing with the crow for 20 mins, do you think the crow was having a ball? It's like a cat playing with a mouse, pouncing on it and slinging it around etc, do you think the mouse thinks 'f**k me, this is great fun'?
