  1. From those pics gaf, you can tell that they're going to be too tall and their feet will be too big! lol, they all look fecking sound to me
  2. As long as a bull/grey x saluki/grey is tall! lol
  3. Bazil, did you not mean an inch a month? And teddog, my earlier comment was tongue in cheek, as someone else pointed out, without knowing the height of both parents it's pretty hard to estimate what height any lurcher pup 'might' make
  4. sheep shagging comedein. Could be worse, I could be a sheep shagging homo , no offence meant, just been one of those days, 25"ish sounds about right
  5. Haven't got the foggiest , 33" tts at a guess?
  6. Looks a strong dog trig, is he 3/4 grey, and how tall?
  7. Ours is collie/grey x deer/grey, and just checked my diaries, 5 months 25", 8 months 26 1/2, 10 months 27 1/2 and 13 months when she finished growing in height, a shade under 29". Again, as has probably been said, all pups grow at different rates and some, even from same litter, keep growing for a little while longer than some of their siblings, so yours could possibly grow on til 12-13 months
  8. Older bitch we have was bang on 25" tts at 6 months and ended up just under 29" tts, but as has been said, depends what's in it's breeding, but I would've thought about 22"ish for your pup
  9. Too young, too wet, too light. Lol. Get and catch some bunnys It's funny as fook this place Gaz but you gotta love the member's .. .. no like's by the way so here you go .. Too young, too wet. too warm and faaar too light to be lamping in the daytime! , or perfectly ok if you were doing what you stated in your original post lol
  10. Haven't seen those videos, but agree with you completely as to their allround ability, especially as lamp dogs, taking all quarry.
  11. Not my type of dog, we all like different things in a dog, but I do like nice athletic staffs
  12. the too tall business is a myth old wives tale's mainly said by people who have not witnessed a large lurcher at work there are 33" dogs what do well on rabbit i had a 29"tts that was dam good on them and have a 28" dhxgh what catches them so its a load of bollox if the dog can get down and feed and pick scraps off the floor i am dam sure it can pick a rabbit up Lol
  13. Some nice dogs there lads. Bitch we've got here now is 1st x collie/grey x 1st x deer/grey. Not meaning to be contentious, but I just don't get why some people come out with this 'too tall' nonsense, she's nearly 29" tts and catches rabbits with no bother, and I've seen and owned other dogs similarly bred, and taller, do the same. As long as they don't turn out too heavy and they maintain good balance, I don't see a problem with their height
  14. Anyone run them, and if they do/did, what do they reckon on them? Pre ban on deer, hare, rabbits or whatever?
  15. all i have had on the last pup is messers one even said they are going to be too big for rabbiting hahahaha and my beddy whippet GH had dh in him because he stands 24 1/2 tts and he would be too tall to catch rabbits hahahaha my dhxgh catches' rabbits at 28 tts some real strange folk out there let me tell yapretty poor excuse gaffer, could at least took the time to think of a better one, ye pretty bad that one also said the pups feet are too big lol FFS what did he do, measure them with a clark's foot measurer!?
  16. that's what i thought too mateits a lurcher race I stand corrected but wasn't master McGrath a full greyhound? So why would you have a lurcher race named after him?ask the organisers Ha ha ha Master Mcgrath was a coursing dog too, so it makes even less sense to name a quick sprint lurcher race after him lol
  17. Who's having the brindle gaf? And this too tall nonsense lol
  18. Very nice bitch, looks a good length to her in the top pic, good luck with her
  19. any pics of any of that litter? Was going to ask did it get used in any coursing lines that are about today?
  20. F**k all wrong with shivering potlickers, very very underated dogs, I love the little fuckers
  21. Smallest, pure whippet bitch 18" tts good on rabbits, was never really ran on anything else, though she did take a few hares, largest, 1st x deer/grey dog 30" tts, very very good on everything, including rabbits
  22. Not being funny to some of the lads on here that's been into dogs for years, but why piss on someones chips when all they're doing is asking for a bit of advice? Like I said J, grey/collie/whippet is a good type, good luck
