    Deerhounds are not slow learners, a bit slower to mature than some other types, but generally excellent blood to put into a lurcher. Take your time when you start him working and he should be sound. And I've seen a few the same way bred as yours turn out into very good dogs a t b

    It's not just daywalkers that know how to condition dogs and feed them the best, far from it, and alot of em could still learn alot from those that aint into matching their dogs shaaark 99% of daywalkers do not match their dogs and do not broadcast it on a internet forum what their doing with their dogs but what i will say is ive seen a lot of lamp dogs whos owners considered them very lamp fit come out for a days running on longears on big land with no hiding places .and their dogs havnt been able to get of their beds for days and gone of their food .and ive seen this more than the once o

    Do you shoot with an air rifle?I would start her off retrieving shot first then build up to the lamp but to start with pick her up and put the lamp on her head as regardless how leggy you think she is she's still short so she can look Down the beam,as I said pm blackstaff he's your man.     The best feet ive ever seen were on a bull/ whippet. Also ive seen bull lurchers run on the toe smashing hampshire fields without too many problems. We were on stony land last night with a saluki/grey and a bull/grey. First run the salukis feet look like someone has smashed them with a sledgehammer. Then the bull/grey was slipped on something browsing along a Beatle banks. A fast rast across the flint then a quick nip and a firm throat hold. Checked his feet and hed split his stopper. And i thought salukis were all terrain dogs ? Atb anyway, what's saying the whippet didn't give the dog goo

    it takes time to mature when out on walks and simmering with other dogs, but when out hunting with hounds and lamping at night the deerhound x knows exacly what to do from a young age (9months+) and i am saying this from experience of owning a deerhound x. but saying that, i have never reared any other x from a pup so will be interesting to see what other people day. They do normally take a bit longer to mature than most other types in general, but that's to be expected, especially if they turn out the larger deerhoundy or greyhoundy size, but that's a positive anyway, as it gives you mo
