hi mate, have you (or your family) got any broken bits of gold jewelry lying around? if you have you could all ways melt it down into a gold bar then put it aside for your nephew for later on in life, we took two lots of broken gold to the jewelers a while back and got over twelve hundred quid for it, might be worth you having a dig around, and your family, to see if you all could put in to the pot, tilly

  7. we rent the basement of a house here and our landlord has three sons, the two younger ones have autism, ones 9 and the other ones 6, the parents have found it really tough as well, he cant talk to us about it without starting to cry, i think they blame there selve's in a way, but in another way they think, way us, sad really, i do feel sorry for them, but i will say the older one plays the piano really nice without reading a music sheet, he hears it and plays, note for note spot on, in fact, the first time my wife heard him play she was over whelmed which made her cry,and also they are both ar
  8. we use to have jotul 8 wood burner, it was really efficient on fuel, it loved oak, they are made in Norway, personally i dont think you can get a better wood burner than a yotul
  9. nice, i like that, it should do the job good.
  10. hi mate, its your choice and i respect that, as you have stopped your kids going to the in laws because of the smoking, the smell of it and the harm it causes, i think its the fact that you can see the smoke and obviously, smell it, and the harm it does, that makes people protect there children, but what about the things you cant see and some of them you cant smell, that we no about that have similar effects, like mobile phones causing cancer tumors, computers damaging there eyes at young ages, processed meat causing cancers, red meat, electric pylons, coal fumes, etc etc, the list goes on, bu
  11. where my wife works the boss offered to fly all the workers and there partners to Las Vegas, staying at a hotel for 3 nights with all the food and drinks included and giving them spending money for the casino, but some of the workers didn't want to stay away for the 3 nights for some reason...... doh, so with that he asked them what would they like to do instead, they said they would just enjoy going out for a meal, so we all ended up at a Brazilian restaurant which was very tasty, the boss did a speech then handed out there Christmas cards, when my wife opened hers there was a really good bo
  12. hi, there was a program on tv a while ago ( called jasper the wolverine, you can watch it on youtube ) about a guy who has a wolverine as a pet, over here they are the ultimate hunting/surviving machine, they will fight with anything (wolves, black bears, and even a grizzly ) for its territory and food, they will eat anything that's going and hunting wise they can bring down a moose that's bogged down in the snow, along with caribou, even coyote, beaver, porcupines, ....etc... they can also smell food in 20ft deep snow, they can reach 3ft in length, and about 3 stone in weight but a big male
  13. we always have an artificial one now, they have come on leaps and bounds now you wouldn't know it wasn't real, plus you only pay the once and it comes with the lights already on them, and as for the real smell of a real tree you can buy that in a can too, tilly

  16. the navara is a nice looking truck, the early ones had engine troubles but they sorted it out from 06 onwards, the clutches are weak if you are going to tow a bit of weight, a bloke on a farm is on his third clutch in four years though towing heavy gear, fuel wise as a 4x4 there pretty much all the same give or take a few miles, the best 4x4 i ever had was a toyota hilux surf 3.0td, it was a 1994 model and i run for 10 years, minimal things went wrong, it always started what ever the weather and it was fully loaded with all the mod cons, good reliable motor, tilly

  18. hi, over here they love the ufc fighting, i started to watch it too,(as you do) following Rhonda Rousey through her previous fights, and i thought she did really well, she seem to naturally adapt in the ring to whatever the other opponent threw at her,but this fight she didn't seem right, she looked a bit over weight, and her work looked slow and her timing looked way off, not the usual Rhonda, don't get me wrong i'm not taking anything away from holly holm's she fought a good fight, there's been talk on the radio today and people are shocked with her losing here, but they said the rematch wil
  19. very funny i liked that. tilly
  20. hi len, at £850 a week, that would be $1700 a week, where about's would you be working? and what would you be doing? The only reason that I ask is the average wage in Calgary appears to be $28 an hour based on a 40 hour week. So your offer is exceptional. Is it in the oil industry? if it is in the oil, it's very clicky if your face dont fit your in for a rough ride, but on that wage you could live very well no problem. tilly
  21. hi mack, what did you get in your kit? that's an amazing price, so cheap, mind you pretty much all the fishing gear here is so cheap.tilly
