hi mickey the place were we are is a lovely area, but there are pit bulls all over canada, the two down the lane are guard dogs with the looks to go with it, but a pit bull here is also an every day pet were ever you live,
-
they have just said on the the news right now that the hurricane is about to hit mexico at 300+ kph,

For short crops they're just cut and the tougher scar tissue keeps them upright, for the longer crops they need to be splinted for months after being cut to make them stand right. yes, the guy i was talking to had, had his doberman done and he was saying its a lot of work in after care with cleaning, bathing, and the smell that happens, it takes a bit of time to heal he was saying.

nice looking dog mate, the two at the end of our lane are a bit bigger and are a dark brindle with goldie/yellow coloured eyes which really does look mean, they are obviously guard dogs as there is a sign on the gates saying........."do not get out of your car, toot your horn and i will come" pit bulls.
-
i agree mate, it's not our thing really, it just seems to be the norm here.

hi since iv'e moved to the other side of the pond iv'e noticed the pit bulls, dobermans, great danes, and boxers all have there ears cropped, i neither like it nor dislike it, my wife hates it and thinks it's cruel, i don't know if it's done to make it look the part or for better air flow, i just wondered what other peoples thoughts were, if you like the look or not, mind you there are two pit bulls opposite us and two down the lane and they do have a mean look about them with there ears done. tilly

good idea, but i don't think they would allow you to have a chippy near a school these days, we lived in SE kent and the councils were shutting them down with in a certain radius of the school gates, as they didn't want the kids having chips for dinner, because the kids are fatter these days.
-
hi mate, i would have thought a good chippy/cafe wouldn't be selling cheap, if it was running at a good profit, my guess is the books have been cooked, normally when somethings to good to be true.........be wary, to have a good cafe you have to serve good food, and location is the other key, my sister in laws auntie had two cafes and they were little gold mines, unfortunately the council compulsory purchased one in Ashford for building ground(in which they robbed her) but she still has the other one, the hgv lorries park there over night for a tenner each, and then they have a fry up as well,

Hi Maxhardcore, heres an update for yah. As you know when we landed we stayed with friends and the first job was to get a vehicle to be able to drive about and look at areas that we would like to live in. Our first vehicle that we got was a Dodge Dakota 4.7 V8 pickup. Suits me down to the ground for a work vehicle. Many areas in Calgary appeal to us but we have since learnt that we are country bumkins and would rather buy an acreage (acreage to you and me is a house with land, countryside in other words) and it would seem that most canadians prefer to live in the city, so, acreage is a lot

Any large dog is potentially aggressive...Any dog is potentially aggressive... Exactly. what would you say is the most aggressive breed of dog out there today, it used to be the apbt from the fatalities back in the 90s, but think rotties, and gsds attacks have been more the last 10 years . God knows, the reason such breeds make the headlines is because of the damage they do when they flip. IMO Akitas are as good with people as any breed. i agree with that, my mates akita was a really good dog, good as gold, it never ever showed any aggression, but my mate is a very good dog trainer, fir

nice fish mate, i also hope it went back alive, it seems nowadays most people want to eat pike, well....at least they cant complain when they see the eastern Europeans taking the fish out,
-
well, my mate use to have one and it was a beautiful dog, friendly with people and friendly with other dogs, we use to take him beach fishing with us and he was no both at all, to us or the other fisherman, he would just sit there watching and waiting for the fish to be caught, he didn't have any health issues, i would say he was quite a hardy dog out in all weathers, his neighbour use to have four bloody noisy jack Russells, and his dog didn't even murmur when they kicked off, but unfortunately he had to be put to sleep three years ago now, due to old age,and strangely enough yesterday he sa

you don't have to know about art to know what paintings you like lad !! totally agree mate.

pike/perch and the mention of grayling...... what ever next, catch and release these magnificent predators, its bad enough with the foreigners taking all sorts fish.

i dont follow football never have never will, there all over rated and over paid, the wages most of them earn are ridiculous, no ones worth that amount of money in my book.

it only becomes a shared cabinet if they both have a key each, and it doesn't matter if you put a shotgun in a rifle cabinet that's how i stored my rifle/shotgun, the fire arms officer was OK with it, at the end of the day they are locked safe and that's what matters, If the owner of the cabinet is the only one with the key and he has 24/7 access to a shotgun that isn't his, that's fine for 72 hours. After that the shotgun would need to go on his certificate as shared. yes your right walshie my mistake, my apologies.

having said this we all know how good a .22lr is for its purpose and how difficult it can be to get one back in the uk what with the land has to be passed, the fao has to visit, a good valid reason to have it, and been seen to use it regularly enough, plus other things, so it really makes a change to not have to go through all this to have one.
-
yes mate your probably right , that could be why it only takes a driving licence to get one.
-
yes some day i will be looking in to getting a bigger caliber rifle but im still settling in at the moment, but your right about the freedom though

hi, we moved to Canada back in may and we have settled in well, my wife and i was walking around the hunting/fishing store and whilst we were looking at all the guns this guy asked if we needed any help, so to cut a long story short, i said "what do i need to do to get a .22lr rim fire and a shotgun as i haven't lived here to long" and he said "have you got your driving licence on you" i said "yes" and he said "great that's all you need" how easy is that, i didn't get one as i am not ready at the moment, i was really enquiring for the future, but a good result none the less. tilly
