  1. Your the one whose put up the ad mate so your the one whose gonna get the flak, if i had a mate who wanted me to advertise a couple of runty wee pups for that sort of money i would tell him to get fcked, but since you didnt you must think that its ok so makes you as bad as him.
  2. looks a decnt one that mate, but googling it shows its RRP as 260 dollars which is about 160 odd quid new.
  3. I will take darcy now thats what i call terrier work III and V and running dog addiction. by post. how do you want paying? cheers
  4. total washout this year, spuds, onions,beetroot.....all ruined, just hasnt stopped bloody raining all summer....might try a polly tunnel for next year.
  5. very interesting topic that. certainly going to be on the look out in future.
  6. Was looking at an advert on here for a couple of cracking lurchers pups for sale, and thinking if I was looking for a pup I would of jumped in car and gone and got one...then I saw the usual post "if only you was nearer" from some messer, had to laugh, but got me thinking what was the furthest i had traveled for a pup. When I lived nr preston it was to plymouth on more than one occasion, then I moved North of the border so Fort William to South Wales ..that was a bit of a trek. Whats the furthest you have traveled to collect a dog/pup?
  7. Its a crying shame anyone would get a dog into the condition pictured but comments like the one above are pure shite, sort of unfounded bullshit the antis come out with, you want to think before you post mate.
  8. They'll be there mate, trust me. It's part of the courtship. Its the doubles that are unusual. The double I found yesterday when I said didn't have a tree in the centre and was just grass, actually did have a tiny ash sapling in the middle. I looked today as it was on my mind....I will take a piccy of them... Im going to have to find some of these for myself. Ive seen circles in the long grass fields here at the edge of the woods, not rings tho but full circles, like mini crop circles. always thought this was where they laid up out of site keeping cool?.......Funnily enough the circ
  9. wow, cant belive Ive lived in the hills all these years with loads of roe around these parts and that is the first ring ive ever seen.

  12. Got to agree with the few comments on here saying some do it and some dont and the ones that do are liable to do it again no matter what you try, thats my experience anyway....Ive got one here, pisses me off when he does it...usually first few runs he lets rip..like hes completely over excited, once hes caught a couple he settles down and shuts up....but othertimes its definately frustration, out mooching daytime he might put up something bigger and if hes out his depth and outmatched he will yap in frustration....what can you do, either live with it and accept the dogs got his faults or get r

    Midgies

I spent a week on that Rannoch Moor a few years back didnt get bitten once........not even the midges find me attractive these days just about on my doorstep there Gnasher.
  14. plenty round here , beautiful creatures but absolute ruthless preadators, if you keep fowl they are merciless and will keep returning until they have killed them all.
  15. Did anybody get one of these how ya find it any good? I got one of these, made three different extensions out of the length they send you, so I can mess around until i find the one i like best, tightens the beam right up and reduces the overspill as well. Not used in anger but you can tell its a definite improvement if the spill and big spot is your concern.
  16. depends what you wanted to achieve but for maintenance and generlal good health if i could only feed one i guess i would opt for beef, you got good protein along with a higher fat content. I like a bit of fat in their diet.
  17. Not been in a couple of years, last time i was there the terrier show was very poor...didnt see a worker amongst the few that where on show.

Anyone in the highlands find the midgies are extremely bad this year?.........mild winter and damp humid conditons this summer, seems to have added to making them far worse than usual, and the usual can be bad enough. The dogs are being tormented in the pens. actually brought them all in the house til after dark last night... rubbed citrinella into there coats and around the eyes as thats where they get it the worst..burning the coil repellents in front of the pens helps a bit. Ive got power out to the pens so am looking at installing cheap electric fans blowing across the entrances as a go
  22. Anyone??? I really need to get the lurcher to a decent vet that understands knocked up toes ( local vet is useless) If no one is available that far north mate, i can only recommend you take the time to drive south down the M6, to Paul Evans in Oldham. He's as good as you can get. Thanks Bosun, If things dont improve i will make the journey. I was hoping that someone on here would know of a decent vet that the greyhound racers use in and around Glasgow afterall there is a dogtrack in Glasgow. just for the record Im actually 100 mles north of Glasgow....but if needs must will trave
