    makes me sick how extreme the authorities react to a few lads running a few hares......feckin nonces and the likes roaming about and this is how they manage their resources. problem is its all political and the police are just puppets used by the higher ups, who are dictated to by corrupt politicians who are in the pockets of the multi millionare corrupt anti organisations.

    well i offered to get involved simply because no one else in scotland appeared to....theres pleny folk out there with more to offer than a part timer like myself but if I can help out in anyway i will, and that is what I said at the very beginning.     fck me...ive just read the whole thread and Im not to clear on whats gone on/going on. Only a few short weeks ago, a thread was started regarding lack of CA support for working lurchers...then rumblings of a new group lots of fors and againsts, loads of positive feedback the beggining of something promising, then a A. Tyler pops up and most people dont even know who he or the ALC are....a new committee is formed who are going to meet Tim Bonner....then it goes all cloak and dagger and all will be revealed to us mere mortals in good time... ..I go to work away, come back two weeks l

    I smoked as a kid (I dont now) and all the clipping of my ear and foot up my arse never stopped me until i decided to stop my self.(when i was about 30)....we found out our son was smoking when he was about 14/15......and all the lectures, the grounding etc never stopped him either...hes now 17 and still smokes! not in the house mind. My wife and I have just come to accept it whilst not condoning it. Hopefully he may wise up one day or maybey he wont, either way its his problem.     The book above is advertised for sale on the home page, so I decide to purchase a copy using the ad.. So I make the purchase 3 weeks ago...still no book arrived..emailed the seller..fried lettuce books....no response...anyone know who fried lettuce is? is he on here?......only saving grace is i paid via paypal so Ive opened a claim....still got to wait 10 days to see if I can get my £28 back.....not happy.

    I have a suggestion...Can the 5 names that have been put forward not get together with, Alan,Leeview and Flynn and have a bloody sit down and see what everyone has to offer and do a bit of idea swapping, or is it going to keep going round in circles on this thread.

    Comon lads, there seems to be a little animosity here, lets try and remember that while we may have differing ideas and opinions ultimately we want the same thing, and that is or should be to try and secure the future of working/hunting with dogs. Until a couple of days ago ideas of a comittee/group etc was just an idea being banded around on THL and now we are on the verge of something very real happening and taking a step in the right direction.     loads of positive stuff being said, and bags of enthusiasm from plenty folk. Couple of things, I agree that given time area reps would be good etc, but initially i feel the main focus would be to put together a small commitee to attend the meeting with the CA chap. Socks,Skycat and desertbred get my vote, simply because you all come across articulate and present good ideas in the right way. Obviously Im not against anyone else attending either who is willing to go along.     I have also been a SACS member for a few years, and TBH, other than one conversation with Tam at Lowther one year, I havnt had so much as a newsletter from them or a renewal notice for my membership which Im pretty sure has just expired.

    hell of a lot to consider, and in a lot of ways Im tempted to say nothing as Im sure are a lot of people, and just continue to do what i do regardless of what happens regarding bans, repeals etc. On the other hand if there was a national working lurcher club that offered a voice of its members and insurance cover etc, then yes i would join. I might not be convinced its going to make a difference but I would rather have that glimmer of hope and support something i firmly believe (freedom to work my dogs) than role over and do absolutely nothing.

    let it dry out sand off the bubbles and touch up the area with a bit more paint. happened to me many times, usually on fresh plaster. No big deal, just the paint reacting to something it dont like.
