  2. looks nice and racey type there good all rounders. Yes I like them a lot an would definitely have another.
  3. Thanks for the comment, I cant take credit for these hound crosses there my uncles lines, but one thing I can say is it was a good idea using the fell. The foxhound is first and foremost a working dog that chases down it's quarry (obviously mostly with the nose) but it hunts to kill the fox - the same quarry us lurcher men work (preban) it seems mad the lurcher world has never really looked to the hound cross in a bigger way. They are hard as nails they really are, will run in any weather across the most rugged terrain, will run for miles and miles, are game as anything. These are all qualitie
  4. Ive done a fair bit of digging on my own, more so because of not having digging partners available. Ive had some good days, but I do prefer it when there is someone with you for a bit of banter and to give you a spell on the shovel. Ive had good and bad experiences both on my own and when in company. On your own if it starts to get a bit difficult or deep there is no one on hand to help, dug a few 8/9 footers on my own, not overly deep but deep enough when there is no one there helping keep up moral. I also prefer that after dig discussion with a digging partner...its not quite the same when

  6. get plenty road kill deer up here, in winter I always collect a few for dog food. even if they been lying a couple of days as long as its been cold. Dont know the legal aspects of it but TBH I dont really care, no point wasting them.
  7. Good shout that Bosun, everyone that has ever run a dog wether they attended the Waterloo or not should take a few minutes to print the objection letter and send it in. Perhaps mods could pin this thread for a while so it doesnt slip out of sight? And what about The AWL, how about them adding voice to it?. And The Countryside Alliance?.Greenpeace? (on conservation concerns?

  9. Trev had a very good turn out today, with people from both ends of the UK, and Ireland in attendance, and also large numbers from his native Lancashire. A sad day but also some very fitting tributes from friends and family. We will meet again one day my friend. God bless.
  10. Have to agree with forest of dean redneck, i used plastic barrels for kennels many years ago, all through winter, well packed with straw and the dogs where very warm and i didnt have condensation issues at all. cheap, solid and durable.
  11. There is many who knew Trevor aka Springview aka Naked Heels perhaps better than myself, I first met Trevor in the early 90s through my interest in pit bulldogs. He was a real character and we became good friends despite the age difference, he was a kind of father figure to me wether he knew it or not. We travelled around the country to various other pit bull fanciers and watched a few shows put on. We rolled a few ourselves and made a match or two, this was after Trev had been jailed for certain dog related offences. But as he put it just because the law had made something illegal didnt

  17. Ive paid plenty money for well bred pups when I was much younger....non of them left any good impressions and they where all brought on well...in fact one of em was completely useless despite my awe at the sellers wowing me with the bloodlines......they just didnt have what it took despite the breeding.....I wouldnt dream of paying anything like that nowadays ( I was far more impressionable back then)...paying more money doesnt guarentee a decent pup..how can it?....The dearest pups are sold by people out to make money no matter what there justification for the price tag......When I need a
