    Good luck - hope you get sorted with something soon. Maybe more beneficial to say that you enjoy getting you and your family into the great outdoors, walking and appreciating the exercise and local evironment, wildlfe etc.

    I wonder if you removed the vet bed and replaced it with a newspaper might it help. I use vetbed too, started this only within the last year or so, i know it really has to be saturated before it feels 'wet' as such?

    Most dogs will be territorial about their house, car, or 'yard', whatever the breed. The fact that they are a 'big' breed, like Akita, Ridgeback, GSD just make them more intimidating.........now think of all the wee snipey, nasty collies, JRTs, spaniels and whatever......guarding whatever they regard as 'theirs'..........every bit as determined and full of balls........ are they bred to do that?......no, they just do it cos they are dogs and they are guarding what is 'theirs'!

    It could be a symptom of anxiety when you leave her. Do you put a blanket over the top of her cage? You could try leaving a radio on for her. My bitch used to pull her blanket out of her plastic dog bed and piss on it every day - it was easy enough washed but she used to lie on it and smell of piss. I threw the blankets away and left the plastic beds only - the pissing soon stopped.

    i remember watching the twin towers on sky news as it happened something i will never forget or ever want to see allowed to happen again Aye, indeed. I was watching it on the big news screens at Schipol ready to get onto a flight back to Belfast, feeling very nervous and thinking ' how very unfortunate that that plane has just crashed into that skyscraper'........

But guys........Remember, remember, last month was Movember! If you have any genuine concerns....get yerselves checked out sooner rather than later

    Well if you have a genuine medical issue you are really concerned about, and as you are not a 'regular attender', you probably do, please do not put pride before getting yourself properly checked out.........there is too much to risk. If, however, you have a good old dose of 'man flu' etc.................get yourself down to Boots for a box of Lemsip. Otherwise, get yourself off to see the doctor for proper assessment and quit crying.

    What size do the 1/2 x, 5/8 x and 3/4 x usually turn out? Is there much difference in height/build between dogs and bitches. I would like a collie x grey that is not too heavy (is that a risk with 1/2) and no bigger than about 25-26"?

    If the farmer said no one had permission on his land, might it be worth calling politely in the daytime, maybe with a tin of xmas biscuits etc, to offer your apologies for any upset caused and clear the air?

    It is always interesting to hear people's opinions on this. I had a pup at 6 weeks and 2 from 10 weeks - I can't say I noticed much difference in how they were to train or respond or bond but I probably wouldn't have another one at 6 weeks - i felt it was a bit young.
