Yes! She even has a long florescent lead and tracking harness. There's a world of difference between working a dog on a 2-24 hour old track and allowing a dog to range freely over stubble or open hill ground. As the lads over on SD explained to you, before you where banned, Davie. You just cant stop ya shit stiring can ya! The lads trying to change the topic to make this thread half way constructive and you still have to have a little snidey dig at him. Take you're grievances to PM because no mature man wants to hear your arrogant whinings.

The Measure of your Shoot day
Born Hunter replied to Dave C's topic in Gamekeeping, Conservation & Shoot Management
When our beating team work the land well putting good strong birds over the guns and some of the better birds are brought down with impressive shooting it makes it all worth while. Having a crack with the beaters and guns and watching different people working their dogs, watching the pups develop and become seasoned. It all makes driven shooting what it is. And we all know which guns to keep our eye on when they are crossing a particularly dodgey ditch..... Thats what makes a shoot day for me but inbetween shootdays and the rest of the year is rewarding in its own way aswell. But a succes -
All this talk of breaking sticks. Whats wrong with choking a dog off if necessary? You always have youre hands with ya! Im talking in a dog fight situation here, not while working quarry.

Poaching is always an emotive subject, its gone on for hundreds of years and there is a huge difference between the one for pot type poacher and those who have no respect for the land, the countryside or its quarry. But i think to compare a poacher to somebody who steals bikes off children, robs old ladies etc is clearly overdramitising the situation............ Thieving has gone on since man first made then owned a stone axe or a wooden club. Try in to justify the act as some kind of primeval right, or claiming its just the poor down trodden and now disenfranchised peasant asserti

I cant answer that because I dont know gnasher. What I do know is the world is a very different place now compared to 20-30 years ago. The 80s was arguably the hayday of the lurcher by all accounts and I should think the dogmen were much more approachable and accepting of complete novices? Of course even back then there would have been litters bred from shit and advertised as grafters, probably not as many as there are now. My point still stands though, how does a young lad with no contacts in the game get into it? When you have a dog you can make the contacts much easier by inviting lads

Most of em arnt out to make big money, they just have some wierd obsession with breeding pups and sell what ever they dont want for the going rate. I really dont get it but thats just some peoples mentality. I've heard people say they believe all bitches deserve to have at least one litter, that the terrier is a f****r for fighting other dogs so will easily battle a fox, that the dogs got a top 5 gen ped so the pups will be decent (even though the parents were less than average) etc etc. These people dont realise what they are doing is just plain f*****g wrong. I've even heard a so called

Bull x whippet v bull x greyhound.
Born Hunter replied to Cannyboy's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
In Harcombe's new book he mentions Powell's bull whippets quite abit. Anybody know why Powell favours them over the bull grey? -
but only on slow quarry Oh MOO, are you spoiling for a keyboard fight? lol.

Many young lads buy their first dog from the likes of this site. Without that they would find it very hard to get into the game and make the contacts that allow you the privelige of being gifted well bred pups. There are some genuine pups/dogs advertised on this site as well as the dealers shite. The way forward is to stay vigilant and not feel like a c**t asking the obvious questions on all for sale threads. Perhaps also a pinned thread giving advice to newbies when buying their first pup/dog on what to ask and best practice when a worker/pup is being rehomed. That said.....are we

Dances is sorted then, cos by the sound of it these PTFE ones will look like white dildos. Explain that one to plod! I'd rather the plod thought I was on my way to sit on a dildo in a field than to be breaking a bull x off it's quarry But then they know me anyway lol I can only imagine how the conversation would go when they noticed the teeth marks on it......

Ferreting and mixing in the shooting scene, be it beating or keepering. Personally I find keepers a bit hit and miss, they love ya ferreting but can be a bit funny about lamping, but the contacts they have with local farmers means word gets around FAST often leading onto farmers with no birds that are more willing to let you lamp. My lamping partner also gets a hell of alot of varied permission through hunting, with his family being in hunt service he knows all the land owners. Hes a bloody diamond and my season would be alot poorer without him!

Which he is, because hes a dog dealing, puppy peddling, tripehound feeding, mongralised inbred fuckwit. I never saw what he wrote, But Scott did and he has no reason to lie. Welshnutter is a spineless prick who has no morals. Who do you believe? FTB Hes dropped himself in shit many times on here and when someone speaks up he makes out he knows of them and makes a pathetic accusation. Hes a sly fecker with very little sense of decency! I dont know what welshy wrote so cant prove shit and I may not agree with scot on alot but hes a straight shooter and stands by what he belie

aye very good mate, you changed it.im not f*****g blind. it doesnt say he edited it,also look at what you quoted. him editing it wouldnt change what you quoted. i know what i f*****g saw blan.and so does he he even spelt paedo as "PEDO" I dont know how he done that then, because if you were to edit what i've quoted here,it wouldnt change whats in my post. it also doesnt say he's edited it which i thought it always did. i suppose its possible he edited it just before you quoted him and you didn't notice, but that still doesn't explain why it didn't say welsh nutte

Truly Inspirational - save 5 lives in 5 minutes!
Born Hunter replied to huffhuff's topic in General Talk
I ticked the box when I got my driving licence, but I'll reregister just to make sure. I personally think that we should adopt a policy where concent is assumed unless you opt out. Why people worry about what happens to their body after death is beyond me. A corpse is a fecking corpse! But it could literally save lives. Feed my rotting body to fecking rats for all I care.
