I wasnt directing my thoughts at you mate i just meant people in general ( myself included up till a few years ago )......i was raised with absolutely nothing to do with religion, not because my parents were in any way against it simply because it never got a look in we was all too busy with other things.....however now life has slowed down a bit and i suppose as we all mature we tend to look a little more into certain things we wouldnt normally have given the time of day ( i even started playing golf a while back )..... You sound an educated chap Born Hunter and im certainly not going to get

Religion is slow to embrace science, for a selfish reason.... In Physics, the church has a shit load to answer for! In the last 500 years they have had no choice but to accept the discoveries made, many of which have blown their previous explanations for the natural world to bollocks! They have changed these religious explanations more times than I care to even count. But for me the bible etc isnt religion in the true sense, to me it is faith and belief in a greater being. That is quite harmless and infact of huge benefit to many people and I dare say many of our greats achieved what t

Personally Gnasher I was brought up to believe in a God, a Christian God, I prayed for my family and loved ones every night before bed and attended traditional Christian events. I was taught all the religious storys from the bible and the underlying meaning behind them. It has nothing to do with writing it off and not giving it a chance. It has everything to do with logic, fact and science. Dont make out people like myself to be disrespectfull uneducated louts that dismiss religion with no argument. For the last 500 years religion has moved the goal posts to fit with the ever growing facts

I had to cull a litter of feral farm kittens this year and it aint no nice job. Some were homed on farms but what was left had to go. It aint a nice job! I didnt see it any different to a litter of fox cubs, just a distastefull job that needed doing. Good on ya for not shooting them if you dont have to I say.

The issue with this love debate is it is largely based on physcology, which isnt a convensional science, its very subjective and hugely based on theory. Neuroscience is a far better way of quantifying love and proving/disproving arguments, however the brain and nervous system are such incredibly complex things that our level of science and understanding just isnt there right now to answer some of these questions that philiosophers, physicists and religious men have been asking since language became evolved enough to ask. Faith is a survival mechanism that humans developed to deal with desp

You're not possibly refering to the hydrogen fuel cell are you? That doesn't run on water but its only waste product is water. There was similar hype and conspiracy stories about its production. -
I wont tell any body that follows a religion they are wrong untill the point they try to tell me that because I dont follow the fairy tales I am going to hell and I am some sort of a c**t! In this case because I wont apreciate jesus's sacrifice he made for me. At that point I get offended by it all. "You must make that choice for yourself. If you decide that you do not want to be with Jesus, you will still live forever because you are an eternal spirit that is living inside of a temporary body, however, you will live without light, love, peace, hope, and without any of your friends or fami

Im just guessing now but IMO the whole solar and wind thing is simply a government stunt to appease the tree hugging climate change greenies. The technology for them is around already and they are simple things. Tidal power isnt as quite as easy for em but like you say its gotta be more worth while. I've often wondered if nuclear fusion would get more of a chance if it wasnt termed 'nuclear'. Whenever I mention it to a greeny they shit their pants and preach how we should be going for renewables and not nuclear. When I explain to them the huge difference between fission and fussion they do -

We all love oil in this country mate, that's the problem... I strongly believe we as a nation should be investing ALOT more money in R&D for new technologies! The likes of the US, France and Russia etc should be doing the same. In 100 years things are gonna be pretty fecking desperate if we have'nt made some serious advances in technology. We have the scientists and the engineers, we need the f*****g time and funding!!! Spot on mate. We're one of the world leaders when it comes to nuclear fusion research. They're nearly there but can't ever seem to get the proper funding ne -
Blasphamy!!!! You're dooooomed to hell! I agree entirely, I once had some overly faithfull types try to convince me and a few mates that jesus rising from the dead was an historical fact! Recorded where exactly? The Bible? Do me a f*****g favour.....

Rob, spaniels are soft as shit usually. I've known bitches to make thier feeling felt with other dogs but very rare you hear of any kennel fights or anything. If its a terrier you want and it has to be in the house buy a crate, that way when you arnt about and on hand incase of any trouble you know everything will be fine.

I wouldnt turn down an opportunity to see one. Logically it appears an outdated cruel tradition carried on for no reason other than tradition and culture. However, as with hunting, there is a raw beauty behind the cruelty if you are open minded enough to see it...

I've got a second hand mossberg 500 pump action .410 in pretty good used condition. Only issue i have is roughly 1 in 3 shots wont eject the spent cartridge when pumped! Ejecting unshot cartridges is fine but i assume when fired the brass collar on a cartridge expands slightly causing a tighter fit? Anyway I believe the problem is the little barb on the bolt that grips the brass collar of the cartridge to draw it from the barrell and eject it is too weak. Possibly a spring inside the bolt? I think this is the problem because if I push on this 'barb' when pumping the gun it always ejects a
