DanielG, that sounds great, have you any pictures and please share them! On a side note, I have bought a bow, lol. Hoyt Ultratec with cam&1/2 cams, 50-60lb. Just waiting on all the other bits now, sight, rest, release etc. The draw weight seems quite comfortable. It's 40" axle to axle which I think will probably be more forgiving for a novice. Had a chat with a mate of a mate who has done a bit with a bow (recently Namib') and gave me some advice so that was helpful.

I'd be surprised if they were all shot on the lamp in one night by one man.........

God I hope Ozzyman does a review of this, it'll be amazing!

It's f***ing brilliant! He was clearly outraged by something but is a person who has no clue how to really express that in a rational way. "....prepare to DIE" and when he puts the 11yr old kid under a citizens arrest too. f**k me it's too much!

Bad because freedom...

They'll get flattened.... crack on.

Nope, no one. LOL Tbh I've often wondered what it would be like. A particularly jobless period of my life saw me doing security steward work at the Download festival, I was on the VIP area back stage and probably saw shit loads of 'rock stars' but their fame was wasted on me.

When I was on it, I passed a few like that. A gang of lads were jogging up with mountain bikes over their shoulders. At some point on their descent one of em ditched it and really f****d himself, didn't see how they got him off but I remember it looking bad. To be honest they were a f***ing danger to everyone.

And don't be a hero or fall for some other c**ts advice on scarfell about deviating from the worn path. We asked one chap coming off what was the best way because the main path looked boring as f**k and he sent us up the f***ing steep Ridge on the left. Two lads flat out jacked on that bit. Lol

Had a crack. Did Nevis then drove to the lakes and did scarfell pike. By that point it was about 10pm I think and I was too fatigued to keep driving so I had to let one of the other lads drive us to Wales and within 20mins I was spewing with motion sickness. I was sick all the way to snowdon and by that point too run down with it to bother. I rolled out of that f***ing car and woke up on the tarmac of the car park, lol. I suffer as a passenger really badly with nausea which is why I tried to drive it all. I kept telling the b*****ds to just leave me on the side of the motorway but they wo

Fucks sake! That picture gave me the fright of my life!

To try to give a bit more life to this thread, anyone heard of Paul Schafer? I've just found out about this guy and frankly he sounds like a f***ing Greek legend! https://www.africahunting.com/threads/paul-schafer-bow-hunter.3963/ http://www.brothersofthebow.com/html/memoriesofpaul.html

I reckon he'll be fine so long as he has kept his nose clean since. Got a mate who had a string of offences including that and got his SGC.

Just checked out that site mackem, something like this seems a reasonable place to start. http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/showthread.php?t=5163145 I'm not ready to buy yet though.

Just an estimate/calculation based on height and arm span from one of the US archery websites.

Precisely the advice I was after mate. Cheers This is something I just need to do...

I am. You'll never catch me in an argument or opposing the popular opinion.

Any advice on buying second hand compound in the UK? I reckon I want a 27.5" length and probably 60+lb weight but otherwise I'm clueless. Mackem? Couple pics from bass pro...

I reluctantly gave details and made it clear that I wasn't legally obliged. I'd support anyone not complying though.

He won't need permission to get a SGC. Saying you want to go clay shooting now and again is fine. I've just been told to provide details of farms or syndicates I shoot with and clay clubs I shoot at............ for a SGC renewal. Ha Ha! I love it when they make rules up on a whim. LOL, I looked at her confused. She obviously sensed that I was about to question it so preempted me by informing me that "this is something new we're doing" for some reason or another. It doesn't need any evidence, simply details. It's just one more example of licensing becoming increme

Micky, you probably don't need to use a hosting site now. When you are typing your post, click on 'More Reply Option' (next to 'Post').......... then click 'Choose File' (under where you are typing)......... find your picture......... wait for it to upload and then click 'Attach This File' and finally 'Add Reply' as normal.

Waiting for my FEO and therefore mentally censoring myself from using words like tyranny and revolution.

"He said research across Europe, home to roughly 10,000 wild lynxes, had found the cats kill only one sheep every two-and-a-half years." The above statistic was a European average. In Norway the number is 25 times higher. Certainly be interesting....

Pretty sure they're classed as vulnerable by the IUCN. It maybe the opinion of other industry individuals that they're endangered though. I only say this because the 'endangered' word gets thrown about a lot to attack legit professional sport hunting in Africa. Edit, And I've just realised that's basically what you meant. Lol
