The first part of his speech, the bit about liberalism, I agree with. Why we judge politicians on their personal views and not their political positions I have no idea. It's called being principled, but apparently we make every effort to expel anyone like that.

Probably announcing that it's an option, loud enough so that everyone hears it. America doesn't have the stomach for the War On Fatty. A war on fatty would boost Trumps ratings.Look what the Falklands campaign did for Thatcher.Trump is a narcissist. I have convinced myself.LOLThere might well be an NK v America war. The big questions are would China support NK? Would fatty nuke Japan and South Korea? I agree that the China question would be the key in any action. As for striking US regional allies, defensive systems are being installed. I believe the japs have the american Aegis ballist

I wouldnt be so sure. The Chinese have had enough and every president needs a war for his legacy. Mattis preparing the country for invasion? http://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-usa-northkorea-idUKKBN19407O "The most urgent and dangerous threat to peace and security is North Korea," the statement added. "North Korea's continued pursuit of nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them has increased in pace and scope." Mattis, speaking before the panel, warned of the potential losses in the case of conflict with North Korea. "It would be a war like nothing we have seen since 1953 an

People need a reality check when it comes to nature. Cuddly infanticide How lions die in nature Nobody likes these ugly fuckers anyway Another bear being adorable!

It'd be f***ing ironic if the DUP pushed the Government into a more conservative stance on social policies like LGBT rights and abortion etc. The attitude from the young liberals I have picked up on is that a Labour vote was supposed to stop that. Now we find ourselves in the situation where it could quite possibly have forced it!

And it is, otherwise we will come under pressure to accept other conditions and we will remain a member in all but name ! BUT......that would mean enforcing a border, and Arlene and he pals will never put their hands up for that ! I don't think the ScotCons would vote for a Brexit that means an end to free movement either, certainly what it sounds like with Ruth Davidsons "open Brexit". And they've got more than enough MPs to sink any vote. May needed that big majority to be able to force through a hard Brexit without worrying about rebellions, she hasn't got that and is in fact now re

Not quite.I'm angry that she has derailed Brexit (maybe deliberately), in an effort to secure a mandate and majority that she already had. The election was totally unnecessary, unless your the type who puts their party loyalty and personal glory before the good of their country. What she's given us is the worst possible result at the worst possible time, and we don't have a strong government, of any kind ! Just for the record, my constituency returned a Tory, even though I didn't vote for him. When I say "I'll never vote for them", I should add the caveat that "if they f*** up Brexit (which

Have I got this right Blackbriar..... You've never voted Tory, never will vote Tory but are pissed off that there isn't a strong Tory government?

Nice spaniels gents! More welcome... I know spaniels knock spots off of those useless labs, LOL LOL, but let's see some other breeds too.

Don't Sinn Fein not take their seats knocking the majority mark down? Still not sure that gives the Gov' a majority on English matters though.

The constituency map makes for interesting viewing. Look at them for the last 3 elections and look at the one for the EU referendum. You'd have thought this election would have been dominated by Brexit and that it would resemble the map for last year's referendum. Other than the Scottish shifting from historical Lib/Lab to SNP this election looks broadly the same as all the previous elections. It looks like everyone just reverted back to their party and didn't consider the referendum at all! The 2017 GE: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Kingdom_general_election,_2017#/media/File:20

Apparently in the early hours David Davidson was talking about staying in the single market... I think we have been fukt over tbh. I think we've f****d ourselves over tbh. Too much talk of dissatisfaction with the Tories. I honestly think a lot of the more hard right refused to back the Tories in addition to a rise in activity from the pro EU mob that remained inactive during the referendum. I've suspected for a while that the referendum wasn't truly representative of the public's will. It's a fact that the 48% Remain did not want a hard brexit, it's reasonable to assume that some of t

More stick than carrot people you reckon?

Personally I was thinking the Scots could do us a favour by annexing everything north of Nottingham and declaring independence! LOL

This is the perpetual two party state thing I keep banging on about. You'll never get a really significant number of people voting for a third party because they are forced to return to their preferred choice of the top two out of fear of their less preferred choice getting in. And you'll never get everyone to abstain in protest because that's like giving everyone the power to annihilate their political opponents and at the same time expecting these opponents to not do that and cooperate in their plan of abstention! The system is fixed that way! There's a lot of previously inactive youth v

And forget hunting!

Fact of the matter is that 69% of the country turned out and over half voted for parties that are anti brexit. We're certainly shaking up politics but not in any sort of a coherent way! LOL
-
f***ing LOL!!! This'll be a laugh.
-
Keep the faith gents, I'm going with 380 seats for the Tories.
