Nothing confirmed yet, although suspect is reported down. Whatever it was, it's astonishing there isn't more fatalities..........there was a hell of lot rounds fired into that crowd :-( I agree. I assume it was all the shooter and not Police/SWAT? The videos from people in the crowd really convey the panic with bullets whizzing about!

This shows the fragility of democracy and the threat of totalitarianism. It's there, waiting for enough citizens to let their guard down with the attitude "that sort of stuff is in the past and we have 'progressed' beyond that". Too many young folk today just think that the freedoms, rights and fairplay of liberal democracy are a god given state of society. Stuff like this cost blood and sometimes lives but it should be a constant reminder. Repress these issues and they WILL escalate with a much greater cost. In the wise words of another member of this forum, "the price of freedom is e

See why I want to go New Zealand! LOL

On the face of it this is the sort of leader that could really firm me up as a UKIP supporter. I'll be looking into him more closely.

Spent all of 5 minster reading about him but he seems very respectable. Ex army, had roles in the UN etc and the candidate Farage selected himself.

Theoretically, 1/2 greyhound 1/4 bull 1/4 saluki to a 3/8 5/8 bull greyhound = 5/16 Bull, 9/16 Greyhound, 1/8 Saluki my mate had a 1/2 x bull greyhound bitch and he put a 3/8 5/8 bull greyhound over her = 7/16 Bull, 9/16 Greyhound The progeny of those two breedings crossed = 3/8 Bull, 9/16 Greyhound and 1/16 Saluki They're Bull crosses. LOL

I agree, but a simple rule of say no pre-packaged food at school may encourage parents to look closer at what they are doing at home. Like you say, most of it is laziness....... I could live with that just about. I think the solution needs to be more deep rooted than that but I'm sure you agree. We've turned into a species of f***ing drones, addicted to bright lights and shiny shit with the only solutions that people seem to be able to come up with involve taking responsibilities away from us so we can't harm ourselves further! I need to sit down.

I've just re-read the story & it's basically the same policy as my sons village school....give or take..... Had this rule came in after a period of time of my son being there, maybe I'd of reacted in a similar way to those parents tbh.....I'm not sure, but the rules were already in place. However, my sons school is a great example of a small village school. Beautifully run & the older kids up to 11 are brilliant with the youngsters........it's just hard to fault really. So I'm happy to go with the flow on that one......;-) .....no ones ever called me mainstream before! Haha....

The majority of these 'links' and correlations are due to associated factors. People that eat a lot of processed meat tend to have piss poor diets generally but the blame is heaped on the processed meat. Low fibre has caused high meat diets to be 'linked' to colon cancer. Low veg has caused meat to be 'linked' to all sorts of deficiencies. General lazy lifestyles that are common place amongst those that eat a lot of processed meat have caused such products to be 'linked' to obesity and heart disease.

Your views are totally mainstream mate so I accept I'm the radical here (generally am in fact). LOL Yes I value the freedom for parents to feed their kids sausage rolls over the alleged health benefits of blanket banning them. Kids can't be expected to be responsible for their health, I agree, but this is about parents not kids really. Fundamentally I disagree with this. I'd sooner see a good balanced education on health than these blanket bans.

Encouraging parents to feed their kids healthier food is total bollocks? No, forcing them to at the expense of others is. If the whole school is doing the same, then what's the problem? It's not just about fat & thin, bad diets cause all kinds of other problems in kids. You've only got to look at those fat fcuks in America to realise encouraging kids to eat healthy at an early stage could have all kinds of benefits...... Healthy isn't determined by a sausage roll though is it. What's healthy about teaching kids "that food is bad, this food is good". I know of a girl that was ta

I hear you mate but I'd take a fair bet that it's got very little to do with improving general health. If they want to improve the health of kids make it so that only 1 parent has to work to afford to live so that the other can cook a proper meal with ingridients they have had time to shop for at proper greengrocers and butchers instead of some shite they picked up at the take a way or pre packed in Tesco because mum and dad didn't manage to get off the train until 7pm !! I get ya but people wouldn't choose that even if they had the choice, in fact many do and they do not choose that.

This is how i see it. There are fat people and there are thin people. Why do the thin people suffer a ban because of the fat people? We bang on like f**k about not infringing the liberties of the decent members of communities that are a hotbed of crime. We can't apply broad punitive measures to them for the greater protection of society. And yet when it comes to unhealthy people, that lets face it are very easily identified as the problem individuals within a community, we do exactly that and make the whole of society suffer for it! Total bollocks.

In fairness there has been quite a lot recently on the health risks of log fires. It was only a matter of time in this 'safety at any cost' society we live in. I was raised in a home heated with an open coal fire so I'm probably f****d if you believe it all!

If I had the money the first thing I'd is buy my own island. So that's a brilliant opportunity. I'm a bit sceptical with how the myxi arrived.....

That's the way to do it. In truth most of us buy online, mainly because finding a place that has a good range of boots to try is so difficult. I can't think of one place near me. Plenty of outdoor shops selling a small selection of boots for rambling etc, but not much else........ I'm always looking at boots online, but wishing I could just walk into a shop & try the fcukers first! It cost me 35 quid in diesel to do the 240 mile trip to the shop for a 25 quid pair of inners! LOL. But was worth it and in addition I tried on a couple other boots and learnt a thing or two. The

Brilliant news for you all.

I saw the Lancaster with Spitfire escort at the weekend too. Nothing impressive though, just going from A to B. Had a cracking experience a couple months ago while walking the fresh stubbles. Two Tornadoes came ripping straight over my head very low! f***ing love those jets and quite possibly the last time I'll experience that with them being replaced in the near future. Wish I could have gotten my phone out quicker to video it!

I've had the Lhotse ages ago and really liked them. I'd have another pair. Replaced them with the Dovre which I thought was awful fit and got rid. I now have Altberg Gamekeepers with the Svartz anatomic innersole which are by far the best boots I've ever worn. I've tried Altberg's new A-form boots too which I reckon I'll be buying next (with a set of svartz inners). Meindl suit a lot of folks but going to the Altberg store and trying different stuff is great for anyone who maybe struggles with boot fit but wants the very best quality boot available.

I try to be level headed, lol. I think it's best all round if things can be dealt with satisfactorily without having to escalate matters. I'd hope we are all sportsman and reasonable. Life ain't always that simple though. Folks on both sides can be responsible for making it that way.
