  1. So you were naughty when you were younger but have spent the last 15 years keeping your nose clean and being a responsible adult? None of it led to any significant time in HMP? Knowing nothing else about your character and assuming the best of you I would say you should be granted a certificate.
  2. I've got loads of photos and videos, here's a few.
  3. If this thread ain't a poster for the UK/US relationship I don't know what is. We start off slagging each other and then find common ground in slagging the French!
  4. Of course, all our efforts are preparing our own oversea's territories with their half a million inhabitants, not to rescue four holidaymakers. But at the same time we can hardly pretend that four other nations haven't managed it! Ain't this why we maintain allies and a Foreign Office...
  5. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/09/11/starving-british-holidaymakers-told-rescue-planes-cannot-take/ So the Canadians, Dutch and now French, in addition to the Yanks, have all managed to get their citizens to safety....... meanwhile we still flounder? RFA Mounts Bay is in the Carribean with Marines delivering aid. HMS Ocean is on the way to assist. Surely to f**k some desk jockey in the Foreign Office could organise something? We're regarded as the second most powerful country on the planet based on our ability to project power globally and protect our citizens and interests a
  6. I haven't seen the video but being Fieldsports Britain they probably called it an "assault rifle" for sensationalist effect. We don't really have the whole is it or isn't it an assault rifle debate over here.
  7. I know, especially within conservative America. I think they think we're a bad influence on liberal America! LOL. But in fairness from what I have seen, on social media Brits are over represented in trolling American hunters etc. They get a lot of hate from the liberals of our little island.
  8. I was lucky enough to visit the memorial and museum at ground zero in July. It was a brilliant experience!
  9. Right after drinking tea, playing cricket and eating crumpets we British seem to have made moaning about "the bloody yanks" a national pastime. Don't take it to heart.
  10. Irresponsibile attitudes and freedom haters. I find the two are usually symbiotic.
  11. LOL, it wasn't even US forces folks, it was the Dutch military acting on behalf of the US military/government. The British government had not arranged anything with the Dutch or americans and because we are too pathetic as a nation to actually maintain a decent naval force our ships are still on route there now. The Dutch also saved there own citizens aswell. This is entirely the fault of the British government and the electorate as far as I'm concerned.
  12. Reagan promised Thatcher the use of a carrier if one of ours was sunk. Otherwise they remained impartial.
  13. We shouldn't be relying on the Americans to rescue our own citizens. In fairness, it's not their job to save every other countries citizens when most of those other countries, including us, are totally negligent to funding our militaries.
  14. I can't even reply to that... I need a stiff drink!
  15. Don't be daft, you ain't ruining owt. No one's offended mate. I wouldn't object to giving you and katchum a couple warning points though... HA!
  16. So it's not fantasy? Look I'm not attacking you guys! Haha......I understand it's very popular, but so is Christianity..... There is no right or wrong, ok? Haha... You are wrong, I've done calculations, they are quite conclusive. LOL Like I said, some folk won't be into it. It's in the fantasy genre yes, but it's different, greater sense of realism.
  17. BGD has got mates! Jukel and Sandy! Together they form the THL Labour Supporters Club. LOL
  18. It's nothing like Lord of the Rings. That was bollocks. Not everyone will be into it mind, just the cool folk.
  19. I'd credit that to military strategists. Even BNN said it had McMasters hand all over it. Of course, I don't doubt that. But Trump is the Commander in Chief, the head of the executive government, the buck stops with him. He's ultimately responsible for such high level actions and the primary target of discontent in the case of bad decisions. If he had made a bad decision based on his appointed adviser's recommendations then he'd be held responsible, if he had made a good decision but his advisers were poorly qualified or in some way found lacking then he'd still be held responsible f
  20. It's funny how things differ in different places, I live in the back arse of beyond in Ireland and loads of people cut about pissed.....driving cars, tractors you name it and nobody gives it a second thought. I take a pretty dim view of it and people think I'm a bit odd for caring !! Reminds me of this. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/jan/22/irish-council-rural-drink-driving A county council in south-west Ireland has voted to back a motion allowing for people living in isolated areas to drink and drive. The motion was passed by Kerry county council on Monday by five
  21. So you don't reckon your Irish neighbours would want rid of a historic monument to British rule in their home town? There wouldn't be much democratic about their actions in such a situation, lol. Just blow the c**t up I'd imagine.I honestly can't see the problem with this. It's just part of culture, statues and shit carry an emotional baggage, as irrational as that might be. You have missed the fundamental difference in the two scenarios........one would be a tribute to what is seen as foreign invader but in the case of Charlottesville they are ALL Americans. There is an IRA memorial nea
  22. They've been charged under the Terrorism Act for being members of a proscribed terror organisation. That's what make them suspected of being terrorists. Obviously they're innocent until proven guilty but what else would you call someone convicted of offenses under the Terrorism Act if not a terrorist? I'll assume my intentions for asking that question went over your head and that you're not intentionally being obtuse. What's the justification for making the organisation a "proscribed terror organisation"? As your man has previously stated in the House of Commons, holding extremist views
  23. In June 2015 a 26 yr old who said he was a member carried out an attack and was prosecuted for attempted murder. But that's all I'm seeing. I just don't know how you can label the organisation 'terrorists' when they really have very little in the way of the use of violence as a political tool. That's fairly key. They have some very extremist views but in a liberal democracy that should NOT be legislated against!
