  1. They seem to have all of fieldsports 'influencers' on social media wearing them...... Which makes me a bit dubious, lol. Reasonable price mind.
  2. I've been in a similar situation, in the borders following hounds in snow and icy winds. Only I was wearing stuff half the price, Ridgeline smock and Fortis bottoms. I'd have f***ing died from exposure if I had gotten lost! Utter shite. Gets you by in average shite weather but not when it really comes in. Bought a Harkila Jacket afterwards. The hard shell double skin outer type, for layering, like this one https://www.pecheur.com/en/gb/buy-jacket-man-harkila-vector-green-163382.html?af=393329. f***ing fantastic and still in absolutely torrential rain doesn't even get damp inside. I
  3. I'm quite a fan of harkila clothing but I wouldn't touch their footwear. Too many bad reviews.
  4. I had in mind to shoot large bats but saw none of those either.
  5. It is and the surrounding villages. I often drive through them. It's a good place for a meet, I usually go. Better than the belvoir at Grantham town hall. Well before they got booted out.
  6. Had a go last night and saw f**k all. Ha. Does wind direction make a difference? The wood holds enough woodcock to see something but I guess I could have just been in the wrong place. I stayed till about 40 mins after sunset.
  7. Glad we agree mate. A regular rifle pack wouldn’t be much use to us in the uk. Still, it’s not for everyone but I wasn’t happy with my previous setup and this is just right for me now. Probably should have explained how it works in the first post.
  8. Oh god, it's started...
  9. Lol, just timed myself. Well under 3 seconds. Honestly it's as quick as a sling and wayyyy more secure.
  10. I respect your experience FD so I'm not being a dick when I say this. Have you seen how these bags work? I'd put a video up if I knew how. There's no significant difference, the bag doesn't even come off my back. Just grab barrel with right hand and simultaneously release it with my left and it's loose. Secure, simple and quick system. It's not simply a bag that has a rifle strapped on.
  11. This is one of the casual Ts. Love the slim athletic fit. I need to ship a few more over.
  12. Afraid I haven’t a personal photographer so I can model it for you. Lol
  13. Morrison's minty lamb! What the f**k is that marinade? It's delicious! Chops, steaks, burgers and ribs. All in that marinade.
  14. Only went to the meet, as usual. Then pissed off to look for snipe and timberdicks. The mounted packs don’t really compare to fell or border packs for following. South notts always get a good turn out on Boxing Day. At a guess around 1000?
  15. Got the kuiu guide jacket in black/charcoal. It is a discontinued colour and was reduced. Very nice athletic fit and build quality. Got a couple casual Ts too. I want to order a few more of those. What's the FB page mate, I'd be interested. Just got a stoney creek down jacket. Was tempted to get the kuiu one but wanted to try some SC gear.
  16. I was going to take my altberg gamekeepers, but I'm now thinking of those ones I posted earlier. Their a-form heel really fits me nicely. I've had real trouble with fitting boots in the past so I'm a bit reluctant to try a new brand, otherwise I'd give those lowas a spin as I've heard nothing but good about them.
  17. 45 degree flint woodland stalking. There's one. A million times better in my experience and opinion. I've already broken one stock dropping a rifle that was slinged on my shoulder. Lol Regarding fuss, my rifle is in my shoulder in about 3 seconds. The quick release system makes it no less fuss than a normal sling. I always stalk with a small daysack anyway. This has effectively replaced my daysack, sling and bipod all in one and is far more secure. I'm a big fan at the moment. Scotland seems like a brilliant idea though! Haha
  18. I'm not a fan of the trialling trends either but I just wonder if the confirmation of those lines would lend itself better to lurcher breeding?
  19. All of a sudden I'm really nervous about picking up my shiny new Serbian Kalashnikov from the post office this afternoon.
  20. As much as I prefer the old fashioned cobby sort of Lab, do you think the modern slim trialling sort be the best base? A lass who beats for me trials Labs and has one that she uses for exclusively for beating that looks like a lurcher itself! There's plenty of shite looking Labs about too.
  21. Wish mine wouldn't! Suppose I should be thankful he doesn't care for roe though.
  22. That's massive imo. The only thing in this whole administration's history to date to make me think "fuuuuck!". Mattis has so much respect from the military and veterans. Trump may well have just lost them... Not to mention what the man brought to the table in experience and ability.
  23. Has the additional effect of giving the drone pilot gulf war syndrome!
