  1. Best TV series ever by a country mile imo, but having read the books I'm wondering how they will finish it. I reckon he's not much more than half of the way through the tale with the last book, and its taken him donkeys years to get this far so I doubt he will finish it before he dies, and they say there will only be 7 series so I hope they don't mess it up.
  2. Just got back to the car after a mooch to find the pups rolled in a dead badger. 5 miles back home with all the windows down and me head out the window heaving.

  3. My pup is similar in some ways to yours in that he will give a low wuff at anything even slightly strange, such as people in the distance, and bark at any sound in the house. He also tries to get in between me and the old dog if I'm giving him any attention. He was like a bottle of pop but at nearly 9 months he's calming down a lot though still very immature, and he's really submissive so he's been a doddle to train so far.
  4. I'll take a wild guess that it wont be the offering
  5. I've been watching it on and off all week and don't mind admitting I've shed the odd tear with those old guys, Heroes every one of them.
  6. Took my 8 month old pup out the other day on the lead and an old lady came walking by with what looked like an even older yorkie with a ribbon tied in its hair. The pup bent down to sniff it and the little b*****d nearly took his face off  To top it all the little old dear laughed and said, "She wont hurt him, she's had nearly all her teeth out"
  7. Butt it to the wall mate, and use a fairly wet mix.
  8. You also need enough game to put in front of a dog for it to reach its full potential imo. No way is a dog that sees 5 rabbits a week going to be as good as a dog that sees 100, no matter how it's brought up.
  9. Looks more like something the Daily Sport would write rather than a "proper" newspaper.
  10. did you know of these problems when you bought it,just wondering thats all cheers that's what one thing I can never understand , why people get young dogs that got to showing this kind of temp, and at this age deff would . Ok if you buy a little 8 week old pup, you never really know what temp will come through, but you can see what your getting there+ then at 7 months old . I wouldn't bother with it, you could go to another place and see a stable+ bold young dog, that will a lot easier to train+ bond with . my dogs are sensitive + wimpy temps that I don't like in any dog, more so a work
  11. Totally agree with you mate, always make sure you can afford it if times get rough. Best of luck with yours, hopefully you'll have good memories from now on
  12. I bought a house for 94k in 2008 to live in and put 10% down on it. In 2011 the same houses were selling for 50-60k. I lived in an army pad for nearly 5 years letting the house out. Left the army and still have it rented out. Thats what im saying I was very very lucky I was in the army with steady job and low rent or I would have walked away from the house and took the hit. In 20 years you'll have a different opinion I bet. I'm still struggling to get my head around your figures but whatever. In 20 years you will have spent little if anything more than you would have done on a rent
  13. You're not kidding mate, I still remember a farmer sneaking up on me and my mate when we were mooching with our cattys, He scared the s**t out of us and even now 50 odd years later I can still hear his exact words. "i'LL HAVE YER EYEBALLS FOR DOGMEAT YE LITTLE SODS" I bet it gave him a good laugh to see us jump 5 feet in the air and run for our lives, but at 7 or 8 years old I really though he'd do it if he caught us. lol
  14. Actually paid 94k for it and they were selling for 50k in 2011 lol The market has raised a little prob get 60k for it at minute. Still got a 72k left on mortgage lmao. Makes me ill and straessed out thinking about it. If I wasnt in an army pad I would have walked away from it. You cant make money on house unless you do it for a buisness You maybe buy a house for 20k and in 10 years its worth 60k so you are up 40k. But then when you move or buy another house the other property you buy will have raised the same value as one you are selling Thats the whole point mate, you shouldn't loo
  15. I must admit I've wondered myself about this, I try to keep well away from them to be honest. My old dog has been zapped once and it hasn't made a difference to him but the pup I have is of a different temprement altogether and I think it would put him off good and proper. I suppose I'll find out at sometime in the future. Does anyone have a dog thats learned to work round them?
  16. If you've paid 40k in 5 years on a 90k loan you're being done mate, or it's a short term mortgage. My sons paying less than 4k on a 70k loan over 30 years. Thats at lthe very least 1k less than the same house would cost to rent each year so even if rents stayed the same for 30 years and the house didn't increase in value he would be 30 grand plus the value of the house better off by buying.
  17. I wish you the best butAre you going to be saying the same thing when interest rates rise and house prices fall ..... Yes. We've been in this house just over a year so that's £7700 of our money wasted on rent already, not to mention the years and years of rent we both paid seperately over the last 7 year's. Together we've probably blown the best part of £70000. The interest rates may rise and the house prices may fall but I don't think we'll ever lose the sort of money we have already lost on rent. Once our mortgage is in place we can over pay it to the same amount as what our rent is now
  18. I wish you the best butAre you going to be saying the same thing when interest rates rise and house prices fall ..... No way will prices fall in the long term, there aren't enough houses to go round. Houses are like any other form of investment, you need to be looking 10-20 years ahead, If someone buys a £100-00 house now and it costs say 600 pounds a month morgage, they will still be paying roughly 600 in 20 years time and own the house which will be worth a good bit more than they paid for it. . If they are renting for 600 a month now in 20 years it's going to be a hell of a lot more a

  22. if you spoil it..it cant be stole.do you really believe they will keep their promises once they get their snouts in the trough. Well do something about it and stand as an independent yourself. In a lot of areas if you dont vote then you are in effect supporting labour. Just see what happens to UKIP over the coming year. They're gaining momentum like a fecking meteorite! They're not ready to run the country................. yet! I'd guess that the main parties will wake up to the danger and target them, which won't be difficult because the only person I've heard f
  23. Just see what happens to UKIP over the coming year. They're gaining momentum like a fecking meteorite! They're not ready to run the country................. yet! I'd guess that the main parties will wake up to the danger and target them, which won't be difficult because the only person I've heard from UKIP who sounds anything like normal is Farrage, and even though I like him for saying what he believes I think he would be a disaster as a Prime Minister. The rest would seem to fit well into the monster raving loony party.
  24. My old man said to me many moons ago that "if you don't vote you have no right complaining about what you get", and the older I get the more I agree with him. UKIP for me, though I wouldn't want to see them win a general election. Hopefully some of the political elite will get the message that enoughs enough and listen to what the public actually want and not what they tell us we should want
