Must admit i havent seen a lot of top level footie this year but watched that game last night and was quite shocked at how bad United were,just a really poor side with no real pattern to how they was playing,looked like they was putting the effort in but just clueless like they've never played together before....lacking ideas or strategy of any kind. I imagine that final for both managers was a winner stays on kind of thing....Amorim will get the boot after Sunday surely.

Nah i dont buy it,doesnt make sense,what part of this story are you not telling........wasnt rude or impolite to a female shop assistant i hope ? Sounds a bit strange a big bloke comes out from the back to escort an eighty odd year old pensioner off the premises....dont sound right.

Opel Kadet cost me 50 quid, 3 days later the gearbox fell out on the Kingsmead Estate and i walked away from it....next day bought a Mk 1 Capri for £175 this one lasted over a week....then had an electrical fire. I gave up with cars for a while after that until i could actually afford one !

Tuxedo thats right....Manny was an unusual chap in many ways,one of which is a bit too crude to go into ......last i heard he was running one of the amateur clubs up there Birtley was it or Rye Hill maybe i cant remember,although that must of been 20 years ago now so maybe moved on since then....i was sad to hear of the passing of Ronnie Rowe back during Covid,lovely fella and a legendary boxing figure up that way i might be wrong but think he might have received an MBE at some point.....shame anyway he was a good person,RIP.

Had that been anyone apart from a normal old white English gentleman they'd have sat mollycoddling him all day if necessary......but again,normal everyday white people are fair game in todays society. f****n upset me watching that after the last few years ive just had......horrible c**ts id take a great interest in seeing them suffer.

Blimey,Manny Burgo theres a name from the past,cracking character.....Garside was a Scouser was he not,or am i getting him confused with Noel Quarless.....Stewart Lithgo,Georgie Scott a few others,Mcrory obviously.....i remember 3 or 4 of us London lads used to go up there for sparring and 3 or 4 of them would come down here once in a while....whenever we was up there we'd end up in a club i forget the name of it now it was a big boat underneath the Tyne Bridge,you'd probably know the name of it ?....late 80's that would have been.....we all used to stick with Paul Lister as he was a big good

For some folk gambling is just as much of a legit form of investment as anything else......admittedly i was once described in court by my ex wife as somebody who would " bet on 2 rain drops running down a window " but some bets ive had over the years do involve more than just luck......years ago during some of my more chaotic times of life i had a bloke owed me a decent chunk of money ( 6 figures ) he was willing to pay it no problem but we got into a debate/argument about something and i told him i knew exactly how his mind worked and that i could outwit him in any situation bla bla bla.

Exactly....theres a knee jerk reaction amongst British trainers to " lay foundations " in power punchers,in order to make them more rounded,instead of gambling on what they already have.....i always thought Mike Tyson was overrated but i do think his early trainers D'Amato and Kevin Rooney got absolutely every last drop out of his potential and they did it by utilising the natural talent he walked into the gym with. Either the hunting fraternity are an extremely level headed sensible bunch of people or folk in general lack ambition or the desire to take a risk anymore......heres a scenario.....just out of curiosity,how many of you chaps would put that on a 100k coin toss ?.....in terms of " investment " theres nothing in the world that could double your money quicker,but theres a 50/50 chance you'll end up with nothing......1 spin of a coin heads or tails ?

Thats the problem though mate it is serious....especially in a small squad like ours.....we're giving away millions in wages on players with no future at the club....Cresswell hasnt been a regular for 5 years odd,Nobles legs had gone 5 years before we stopped paying his wages,Antonio was already on his way out now we've got all sentimental over the fact he cant drive in a straight line....its all small club " local lads " mentality that a lad like Paqueta comes to the club as a brilliant talent,sees how easy it is to just " coast " and ends up an average player.......the club has to rid itself

Used to be good sellers the Transporters....they was the smallest of the medium vans that took 2 pallets....good for high miles and held their value as well.

As much respect and admiration as i have for the Tibbs family i just dont agree with this philosophy with young prospects who havent had an amateur schooling....Fisher is a pure physical specimen,an outstanding athlete who could probably turn his hand to most sports demanding a certain amount of physicality from Rugby to Fighting to Rowing......he has chosen boxing and done well with the physical gifts that he has,so why turn him backwards and start trying to teach him basic fundamentals when pure physical savagery has got him this far.....gamble.....send him out to get opponents out in short

Johnny is never going to be a slick boxer mate,with barely any amateur experience and only a handful of pro fights the lads just a naturally powerful athletic physical specimen,Allen is probably the better boxer and he isnt all that. Fisher wont go beyond British/European level so great that these type of domestic rivalries can bring in some coin.
