Smashing bit of film mate good find that is thanks for putting it up. Long before my time Joe Rolfe his grandson or great grandson it might be Steve is still well known in the area. I spent a lot of time in that gym when Gary Davidson had it the Old Kent Road back then was a rough old place the Henry Cooper gym was just along the road as well,quite often the only way to get any peace and quiet on the Old Kent road back then was to go up in the Becket and have a fight ....unlike the Henry Cooper and infact most other gyms the Beckett had fighters of all levels pros as well as unlicen

Watched an interview with Phil Taylor he quite surprised me as i always booked him a bit arrogant.....said even at his peak he wasnt as good as Littler.....reckons he'd of beat him the odd match but said Littler was a superior player to him......Taylor was describing how Littlers attitude is just different,not driven by money,just a quiet kid plays his computer games etc......he seems to think Littler will virtually perfect the game in years to come.....was interesting to listen to.

Short term probably Slaven Bilic as he's available.......long term Lampard would be my choice if somebody could persuade him. We cant really have sentiment creep into it with ex players but even Gary O'Neil or Carrick would do me as i do think we need to reconnect fans with the club and players at this point.

By " greatest " i think a lof of fans would probably mean favourite......Billy Bonds was a cracking player and a leader of men as his near 800 appearances,club captain and club manager suggest.....but yes we've had better players over the years.......but for chaps of my generation very few would pick anyone other than Bonzo as our favourite player and the main reason for that is because he was one of us......he was everything that was good about West Ham and made us all proud. We thank him for everything he did for us and may he Rest in Peace.

Im starting to wish we'd all let them crack on with that Super League caper they was pushing for a few years ago.......let all the top clubs piss off to their new fancy Super League so they can have their closed sanitised corporate game with their Var, political point scorers and happy clapper fans................and we can all get back to having the old game we love back.

We're a mid table Championship side at best mate and im talking about NOW !......Bowen isnt performing and you cant blame him he has nothing around him,Paqueta performs once in a blue moon,Soucek is finished but a smashing lad so he gets a cheer , the 2 kids will be decent players but cant be expected to fight a relegation battle with their limited experience...but we are an utter shambles of players at different stages of their careers with different ambitions for their futures bought for the wrong reasons,under the influence of a manager who looks as disinterested as everyone else.

Theres something we agree on regards West Ham........until that man either dies or we get relegated there will be no change at this club.......im actually at the stage where i want relegation,although he's an absolute mongrel looking gonk spastic c**t he looked reasonably healthy last time i saw him...... we cant just wait for him to die !

The whole "our little Hammers " description was never about the size of our achievements or the big named players we developed or winning the World Cup or any of that stuff......it was always about our culture,our traditions and togetherness.....our little Upton Park and the surrounding area was part of that tradition as was the ideals of how we felt the game should be played ( the West Ham way ) if you like.....we had a small dedicated very loyal following where you would see the same faces week to week and up and down the country.....we had a connection with not just each other but the playe

It was an utter disgrace,i like Wolves as a club always have done they shared a special moment in our history regarding Bobby Moore years back and theres been a little bit of a bond since then.....the other night was the first time ive ever been in a football ground where opposing fans are singing songs competing over who is the worst,it was f****n hilarious !.....beyond that it was wrist slitting time.....what people are also forgetting is that this team of Wolves players who are supposedly the Premier Leagues worst ever side.....have now beaten us twice this season !

In all seriousness though,in my opinion it was the death of David Gold thats sent the club into a spiral of doom......David Gold was West Ham through and through and virtually an equal share holder as Sullivan....he was the only one who would or could stand up to Sullivan but with him gone Sullivan has free reign to do what he likes....to be fair to Nuno he has tried to give our youth a chance as he rates them which is what we've been crying out for....players like Potts,Marshall,Mayers,Scarles,Earthy are all good kids coming through who cant do any worse than what

With Nuno probably out the door over the next few weeks i wouldnt be one bit surprised if my Hammers went in for Lampard and i hope to God he tells us to f**k right off after the way we treated him years ago. I honestly dont know mate it just seems to me that modern tactics are just so cynical like every team is playing the same type of what i call " health and safety " constant recycling of possession,constant positioning football just grinding out results with no real flair or the maverick kind of players we saw when it was the old Barclays Premier League....every team is playing exactly the same type of football and its cancelling each other out....it comes to something when you're almost hoping for a side to play a bit of Fat Sam football just to break it all up a bit !.....VAR hasnt helped....

I think teams are coached so rigidly in the systems they play now that footballers dont really enjoy playing anymore.....flair players such as Best/Gazza etc just wouldnt be able to show their stuff in the modern game teams are set up to be so disciplined.....its killing the game for fans and i believe players alike even at local level players dont want to spend the majority of a training session without a ball working on shape and set pieces..... ultimately they want to play the game with freedom and enjoyment......you'll get more and more pro players who dont really like football but are goo

If im not wrong it was Robertson who put the cross over for the Trevor Francis header than won Forest the European Cup....iconic goal that i believe it was Francis first game after becoming the first million pound player ?.....although i might be wrong. I remember Robertson he used to get a lot of stick down at West Ham,he carried a fair bit of weight and would get called " fat bum " whenever he got the ball,seems infantile looking back !....but he could certainly shift for a " fat lad "......as said above for putting in pinpoint crosses on the move there was none better.
