I havent actually got access to the nest itself just the hole....the nest im presuming ( from watching a Youtube vid ) is in the cavity and i dont really wanna start hacking at the wood.........im not a tight arse im just pretending to the ol woman that im all butch and macho and can deal with this sort of shit myself !

In the eaves of a wooden outbuilding well away from the house but i do need to go in there every few days. Would you.... A, Have a haphazard attempt at getting rid of it yourself....and if so how ? B, Bite the bullet and get someone in who knows what they're doing. C,Wait it out and presume it will go dormant or whatever at the end of the summer. My pal has me flapping after telling me the average wasps nest has 5000 wasps ....not sure if he's having me on or not. I can see exactly where they're going in so with a quick half hearted spray of some domestic stuff o

He's not still buying up supplements, cutting them up and re packaging them as his own is he ........the ingredients and adverts he uses are word for word exactly the same as the company he's bought them from ffs

The whole " giving to charity " thing was looked on once upon a time as a symbol of kindness and caring for the people around you......but now its more a sign of weakness and being exploited in my opinion. There was a time when myself and a few close pals regularly donated to a local childrens hospice, these were life limited kids in our local community and as supposedly decent local businessmen it was nice to feel like you was doing your bit. We would stay the odd day mucking about with the kids a few we even took to the footie the odd time,it was a really nice sense of community all

Im on first name terms with a few of them around regular places i go ......stone me i came close to pulling up a bed with them the year of f****n misery ive just had ! Personally i prefer to get in a bit of a chinwag with them see if they're genuine if they are i'll see them right, if not i wish them luck and carry on with my day.....if they're not Brits i dont even give them the time of day.

Is that not Paradise Wildlife Park in White Stubbs Lane ?
-
My maths aint up to much but i make that a max of 1963 as a 13 year old......so fair do's i didnt book you as old as that hence i said 70's/80's......to my knowledge it was all the very basic " we won the cup " celebratory or supportive type of caper back then.....most of the goading and nasty type stuff started in the 70's im pretty sure it was Leeds who changed the words of that Flowers of Manchester song in the mid 70's you might know better than me. Im not saying i agree with it all by the way, personally i find it a little bit childish, i dont do devious i actually prefer the more dir

Kings i remember having a few messy nights in that club there as a youngster !......spent a few weekends on Thorney Bay,couldnt believe that place when i saw it a few months back it looks like Beverley Hills from the sea wall they've done it right up ..... proper mobile homes, needed a keypad number just to get in....ok not quite Beverley Hills but certainly looked on the up and up. -

Interesting, thanks for the info....no way you're going to be able to scuba dive down there either i got that wrong or my pal was pulling my leg.....interesting part of the world for me,a day trip to Southend or Canvey was about as close as we got to a holiday as little kids ! I noticed the other day The Kursal is still there, every time i go down there i expect it to be gone but i should think its listed, still seems a big waste of space though. -
Is it really.....im presuming its a fast road would it be busy at that time of the morning ? Id imagine that motor was fitted with a black box or Edr so shouldnt be too difficult to suss what happened....id be amazed if speed wasnt a major factor though.

Is that the beach with the big ramp for launching boats, pub just behind it i forget what its called now.....used to launch our jet skis from there years ago cracking little atmosphere on a Sunday.....used to reverse our motors back to hook the ski up it took me months to work out the sea water was making my back bumper go rusty ....am i right in thinking theres a shipwreck over that way somewhere or have i made that up......sure i remember an old pal of mine going scuba diving there, although i cant imagine you'd see much in that water ! -
With all due respect that is a complete load of ol pony !......are you seriously trying to pretend that " tragedy chanting " if you want to call it that wasnt as bad in the 70's/80's ?.....it was much worse than it is today. Apart from the basic Hillsborough/Heysel/Bradford/Munich stuff do you not remember the " Spurs are on their way to Belsen ".....or the " Harry Roberts is our friend " ....or " One Harold Shipman ,we give him thanks for killing the Mancs " or " the Oxford player i forget his name " Whos that wrapped around a lamp post, who's that bleeding from his head "........i rememb

Thats a shame.....wasnt knocking the gaff though mate just sheer volume of people surprised me a bit thats all. -
How long ago are we talking there mate ?....would you put your house on it definitely being a big cat ? I imagine its the sort of thing you'd second guess yourself about ( well i would anyway as my countryside knowledge isnt up to much )....but folk who the countryside is second nature to something odd like that would stand out a mile surely. I get how it could become like a " hobby " and how folk could get the bit between their teeth as regards finding out for sure and how that might misguide them.....but just normal everyday bods out for a mooch or whateverand who know what they're

At last,a good an interesting post on the subject. Shame really i always thought this was a good countryside subject to have a natter about.....no reason to believe big cats are out there myself but heard a few stories people who are totally convinced have told and think it makes a real interesting subject personally.

If by too slow you mean this forum is not my whole life and i dont spend every hour of every day regardless of work/family/fun posting on here like you do then yes i guess im too slow......if on the other hand you think people scroll through your first 1000 posts to see if you have acknowledged that its you or not then no im afraid i dont do that.....a,i have a life and b,you're not that memorable that id straight away know its you !......if your not a man of mystery then just tell us what your new name is going to be,not too difficult is it ?

For what its worth,i totally agree with Wilf we live in a society where victimhood is encouraged......demanded even. Especially in these internet days people are all too ready to jump in and be a victim on someone elses behalf if they feel the person is not receiving the correct sympathy, what ever happened to quietly going off and dealing with grief alone. And nasty chants at the footie i wouldnt book anywhere near as bad as some of these attention seeking social media posts you see even from people who knew the person, they all become a bit distasteful in my opinion.

Couldnt agree more,my son imports a lot of Japanese performance cars he always says they have the performance of a Ferrari at the price of a Merc or Bmw.....ive driven some seriously fast cars and the throttle response on some of these motors is frightening you're literally talking about a fraction of a seconds lack of concentration and you're gone.....back years ago the sheer noise of a car at speed would force you to pay 100% attention but todays modern sports cars you can be doing 120/130/140 and still hold a conversation with your passenger its like you're just cruising along. Anyone

If its not rude to ask.....would it be possible for you to let us know what your new name will be now, rather than having to work it out in a few weeks ?
