Nah dont like that one mate bit tacky....same as them desk plaque things they almost look a bit gimmicky. I quite like the weathered/aged look of this one it seems to " fit " the house and just looks smart i think.
  3. Exactly i said exactly the same thing mate and thats the way our media works we are expected to turn it on and off as they so desire.....im a patriotic Englishman everyday not just when im told/allowed to be.
  4. 84% of the worlds population identifies with a religious group.....of which 2.3 billion people in the world identify as Christian. Just out of curiosity mate what makes you " proud " to call God a fake ?....ive never quite understood that one.
  5. Fascinating stuff really....must admit ive never quite been able to wrap my nut around the difference between adaptation and evolution or whether one simply leads to the other....but its interesting learning for the 10 - 15 minutes before my head feels like its going to explode ?
  6. I was always under the impression that micro evolution was change within a species and macro evolution was change from one species to another....at the risk of getting laughed at i tend to side with Francies thoughts on these types of exchanges but am happy to say its a " i dont really know " one for me.
  7. That'll be lads doing the circle walk at Hmp Hollesley Bay f****n with them ?......if you're on good behaviour in there you get to do the evening walk right round the site, takes you virtually onto the beech its the best 45 minutes of the day and a good giggle in the right company ?
  8. I couldnt watch it i find it all so hypocritical when we go all history & tradition for a day.....only to go back to being forcefully repulsed and ashamed for the other 364 days of the year !
  9. If you're a lightweight drinker like me theres a lovely drink ive been getting lately called Rubis, some sort of chocolate velvet ruby red wine i cant get enough of it lately, not all that expensive either.

I regularly walk past a house with this on ,i really want one its like a bronze 3d wall plaque thing about 18 inches high.....ive googled the life out of it trying to find one and cant so if anyone comes across such thing on their travels you can pretty much name your price.
  12. Fingers crossed for you Mushroom.....all the best for a positive outcome.
  13. Its a bit like the old 3 knockdown rule mate im not sure any of the organisations still have that....same thing you could stop an opponent without really hurting them, there was a string of fights in the 80's one i remember well was when Bonecrusher Smith stopped Tim Witherspoon in the first round he literally came out with a mission to get him on the floor 3 times and did, thats it World Champion....Witherspoon wasnt even dazed it was just silly.
  14. I feel a bit for the fella it always looks a bit suspect when you are brought over by the headline fighters camp and get stopped early....although the smile on his face suggests he probably got paid quite well ?

I get it you think the grass is greener mate...but are you sure the shade isnt just slightly more " mint " than the deep " emerald " you are painting it ?.....Wicklow is about 30 odd miles from Dublin right ? ( i only know because its a part of the world i looked at years ago )......well the farmland/English estate houses/old town buildings you describe can be found in towns 30 miles outside of London as well, whats the difference ? Dublin is a shithole as is London, the additions you are getting there are the same as the additions we are getting here.....are you aware that population wise
  16. A pro fighter deserves the right to get knocked out.....most " bad " knockouts occur in the later rounds when dehydration plays a part not from simply getting " bashed up " early on..........just because a fighter is taking shots doesnt mean he cant recover its part of what separates amateur boxing from pro in my opinion.
  17. When was it any different though mate.....its only because of the internet, social media and the general transparency of boxing these days that regular fans know about the drama.....but its always been there. Edited to add.....have a look at the Frank Warren documentary showing on Bt Sport to see drama outside the ring always has and always will surround boxing.
  18. Standing counts are for amateur boxing none of the organisations allow it... i seem to remember the uproar over a standing count in the Froch - Bute fight years ago.....to my mind if a fighter needs rescuing by the referee for 8 seconds then the fight is over.... its up to a fighter to take a knee and if he hasnt got the mind to do that then he probably needs rescuing anyway.....but by the same token in the first round of a fight he hasnt been down in he should also be allowed the time to survive and regroup.
  19. Exactly that.......if ever there was a great advert for sticking with your own kind he was it.
  20. He's a funny one Conor Benn so unpredictable, their plan going in was to win the rounds ?.... make sure he wins rounds and only go wide open if an opening presents itself !....i liked what he said in his interview after " sometimes you just hit someone and it feels right"......fair play to the kid his energy and enthusiasm are lovely to watch. Thought it was a poor stoppage myself.....a referee shouldnt be stopping a fighter on his feet in the first round in my opinion.
  21. LIke yourself ive watched bits and pieces over the years and probably keep up with the bigger fights....regards the match making i just like the way they go on form rather than records you can take a loss,go away and rebuild with some good wins and be back in contention,so that removes the fear of losing which is exactly how it should be....you are rewarded for good wins instead of being rewarded for sitting protecting unbeaten records.
  22. Yanks just dont understand sports that dont involve drama and big numbers they think playing a game of " soccer " for 90 minutes and drawing nil nil is a total waste of time.

By the way as i remember kennel fees were £45 per dog per week back then, around 2002 ish. Compared to 1 horse on average = Weekly training fee £475 Annual vet fees £3000 Annual Blacksmith £1000 Race transport £300 p/race Race entry fee £100 Annual mortality insurance £3500 Thats amongst other things.....what a game eh ! ?

I did the same when i got out the bulldogs years ago, bought a couple of dogs trained by a fella local to me Mick Puzey, used to go down the kennels and have a natter about conditioning etc didnt take me long to realise i probably knew more than he did but it was more of a hobby/fun night out than any kind of business venture,as i remember i came out about even in the end.....what i know about the gee gee's i could write on a stamp so should be an interesting few years ahead,i started to realise theres more than a round of drinks in it when they started talking contracts/solicitors etc etc ?
  25. Thats exactly it....perfect. Oh well thats alright then at least it aint just me that cant stand it !
