Personally I have been saying that we need to get out of the EU for the last 10 or so years. To my way of thinking, what is the point in voting in this country if, whatever party gets in is ruled by faceless unelected bureaucrats from Brussels. While we are in the EU, which incidentally none of the UK public had a say in, we will never have our say in our own destiny. I am old enough to remember Ted Teeth taking us in to the Common market, the way it was sold them was the promise of cheaper food and better deals for our farmers. It's a completely separate entity to the EU, we're signatories to the ECHR and that won't change just by leaving the EU. Was there not talk not so long ago about us opting out of the ECHR? About the same time as hook hand could not be deported? TC -

I wonder how people learned to fish for trout before the advent of stock ponds? Before the days of instant gratification people had to learn how and when to fish before they caught, but when they did catch it was a momentous occasion something to be remembered. The sense of achievement was not something you forgot easily and helped you through the inevitable failures that were to come. TC

I really despair, if you want to catch fish that bad go to a stock pond. Believe it or not fishing is not all about the amount of fish caught. if you want fish that bad buy a stick of dynamite. Enjoy angling / fishing for what it is. Some days you catch, others you don't, if you cannot enjoy both get your rods on ebay and take up 100 rabbits a day ferreting. TC

Looks like some good fishing, I was trying to remember the fish from the old Rex Hunt fishing videos. I think I have most of them, but the ones in the box I have not seen before, that I can remember. Red snapper, Mullet, Whiting One hell of a Flathead, Trevallie, think I seen one flounder in there, Carp being fed to the dog and of course that large Tuna. Have not a clue what the ones in the box in water are but at a guess Stingray perhaps? TC

I have thought about this today, the only conclusion I could come up with was that he cannot accept that for no rhyme or reason people get cancer. It really sounds as if he cannot accept that it happened to him and is trying to find something to blame. Just as there is no rhyme or reason for getting the horrible disease, there can be the same with 'miraculous' recoveries. I had a friend was was given 3 months to live with breast cancer. She was determined not to give in, 3 years later she lost her partner to lung cancer but still kept going, she lost her fight after 7 years from the origin

Before you see the doctor for stress, have a little think. How will the fact that you have suffered stress impact on your life style. If you hold a SGC or FAC you could possibly lose them. A lot of employers now want to know if you have had medical problems previously or even ongoing ones. It could cost you a job in the future. It is not as simple as just getting a sick note, in this computerised age every little thing we do it recorded, until either it is hacked or can be used against us. TC

We have just had a thunder storm here and it has really cleared the air. The Blackbirds are singing, what a beautiful sound in the newly cleared air. There are two cocks competing against each other, each note is so clear, as I am typing this it has started to rain again with distant thunder, but they are still at it. TC
