Yes Gnash that's how the are measured in hands. The first what I would call a real horse she had was a Hanoverian cross, Lady, when she was 14. They learned a lot with each other. They were doing well on the show jumping at all the local shows, but sadly the mare got a twisted gut and had to be PTS, that was our first real taste of the vet bills that come with horses, there have been a few I can tell you. Horse insurance is so intricate you have to go through every little detail with the insurance company to be sure your covered. It's far worse than car insurance, they will t

The daughter breaks horses part time, the amount of times she comes off is unbelievable, yet she will just get back on and think nothing of it. She was breaking a 17hh horse last week and it started bucking and one of the reins snapped, off she came, no problem, new reins and get back on. I think if horses are in your blood then you doomed to be poor for the rest of your life..Unless you can marry money of course. She had her first at 12 year old and from then till she started to work we could have bought a couple of new cars for what they cost us to keep. It's funny even though I rode as

how does there brains compare to dogs ,? do they ever get loyal to there owner like a dog would .? One of the daughters horses follows her like a dog. She had her down her house to give her a grooming, went to get more water from the kitchen and the horse followed her into the house. http://www.llanellistar.co.uk/Llanelli-man-cheers-girlfriend-bringing-horse/story-28898965-detail/story.html TC

I was thinking about carp and other course fish feeding and remembered catching Rudd one evening with the fly rod that were feeding on emerging buzzers and just wondered why people do not fish for them more often with the fly or natural baits. Luncheon meat as far as I am aware does not grow on trees, yet people use it to good effect to catch chub and Barbel from what I have read. On the other hand I have read that one of the best ways of catching chub is with the worm or better still a slug. I just wondered why carp fishermen do not do the same? TC

I have fished for carp only a few times, the best bait was, I was told, KitiKat fish recipe and flaked maize with flour to make it hold together, this was around 1973 ish. I did catch a few carp with it, nothing bigger than 3 or 4 Lbs. That is the extent of my carp fishing knowledge. Now I cannot believe that the carp wait for donations from anglers to feed, so in the absence of boilies etc; they must feed naturally, take nymphs, fresh water shrimps etc; yet you never hear of people fishing for them with natural baits. Why is that? TC

There's a 50 year old Glenfarclas on the whiskey exchange for £4500. And that's by no means the most expensive. Gaz that's peanuts. http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/wordofmouth/2011/sep/20/worlds-most-expensive-whisky-dalmore-62 TC

Chiffchaff, or willow warbler...maybe not. U. Willow Warbler has pink legs, that said some WW legs are darker than others and then you have to look at the wings, but we cannot see them in this photo. That is why I plumped for the Chiffchaff, I could well be wrong I frequently am. TC

Going by the colour of the legs I would say Chiffchaff. TC

Cushty I have to ask, you don't have a secret crush on Tyson do you? I mean that would explain a lot of your statements here. Do you have fantasy's about Tyson? You can tell us it will go no further, honest! TC

Well It had to happen, came face to face with him yesterday. To be honest I was embarrassed, more so that he had his wife with him. She is the innocent victim in this saga. Since he came out on face book she has been receiving negative comments on her page, re; why are you still with him and even more personal stuff about their sex life or lack of it as the case may be? I really feel for her and his kids, him, he needs a bullet to the head. Sorry, but I just cannot get my head around how someone could hurt his own family in such a way, just for his own gratification? If he has always felt
