  1. I don't watch films or telly, but I have just watched Brassed Off, what a cracking film. Anyone with who does not have a social conscience I would urge you to watch this film, it shows that the implications of fiscal prudence go far deeper than people just losing their jobs. I wish I could link it for you but the boy downloaded it from the net for me on his phone and added it to my PC. TC

  13. Nasturtiums make good salad leaves, slight peppery taste, and the edible flowers are quite nice in a salad also. Don't know if it is a good thing or bad? Black fly absolutely love Nasturtiums, so will they draw the black fly away from the beans or attract them to the area? I honestly don't know. TC the lady a few plots up had her plot covered in these flowers and her greens were unnetted and in pristine condition. Any one else left theres open they would be decimated by caterpillars. So I thought I would sow a few just out of interest. Not sure if I have got the name right but I th

Last name: MartinTweet This interesting surname recorded in some two hundred forms from Martin and Martini to Marti and Martinovich, is of Roman origin. It derives from "Mars", the god of fertility and war, although it is claimed that "Mars" itself may derive ultimately from the word "mar", meaning "to gleam". The original given name has been used in every state in Europe since the 12th century crusades to free the Holy Land from the Moslems. However the main impetus which gave the name such popularity was as a result of the good works of the 14th Century Saint Martin of Tours, in France. It i

Bit silly still is'nt it lol Would thinking up any random belief be just as acceptable to you, like worshiping an empty shoe box or something. If it gives people strength then all the power too them. But it was a shit stupid question, and totally out of context in this thread. TC
  19. Quite a few terriers enjoy the water, they just don't know it at first. he was 10 at the time the photo was taken and had been retrieving ducks off water for about 3 years. Before that he would not go near water. TC

It's odd because over the years my opinions have changed, part of being an agnostic I suppose? The alien route has some merit and is plausible, but then begs the question how did the aliens develop? The simple truth of the matter is anyone can choose to believe what they like, and no one can disprove them. If believing in an omnipotent god gives you the strength to live from day to day in a good way, then no one, no matter what they believe should knock a person for that belief. TC
