I don't give a tip for the postman and especially not for the binmen the lazy twats won't even take the wheelie bin if the lids not completely shut and when they do take it they leave it 20yds down the road. They get paid for what they do.No one gives me a tip for going to work everyday in all weathers.

You won't get better.

Here's one i restored a few years back Day i bought it Took nearly 18 months to restore Very nice.I had a 380 and a 550 many years ago.
-
I know when I used it myself years ago it played my guts up terrible.I wouldn't fancy giving it to a dog myself as a dog can't tell you how it's making it feel. For keeping a hard working lurcher in tip top nick I'd stick to a good quality balanced diet plenty of varied exercise and rest when needed.

Oh My God How Hard Is It To Find A Bull X ??
downsouth replied to whitefeet4190's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Not that hard. The hard bits finding one worth feeding. -
Probably S Jones Bud that was out of N Facey's Buck.Few years ago that them dogs were about.

Has the dog had an x ray? I had the exactly the same thing years ago.Weeks of antibiotics getting stronger and stronger nail bed removed. When the vet finally opened the end of the toe up there was a couple of tiny fragments of bone chipped off of the last section of the toe floating about rotting.

Your bang on there mate.

It's not a line.Golly was a scatter bred bull lurcher who I think may have even had a bit of saluki in his makeup.Im pretty certain he was always bred to totally unrelated bitches.
-
that's what I was thinking, most have good temps with people, more so if brought up right, and gnash knows the breed, ive often thought of having another one, there great breed of dog in the right hands That's it.As you know mate I kept both many years ago and the only advantage in bull/grey is that it will catch more stuff which is no advantage if your not going to hunt with it.But after all this is the hunting life and if someone came on and said they wanted a dog for their granny someone would come on and suggest a bull x.

This isn't a made up witchhunt these little c**ts were on my local news last night. And I've spoken to a couple of lads from margate who've confirmed that it's all true.So f**k em.

If your gunna have a bull/grey and not use it why not just have a bulldog

Wouldn't feed the shit full stop.only good for rabbits and guinea pigs.

Im sure your right and im possibly being a touch unfair in my dismissal of the dog i think it just made me realise these big guarding type breeds will just be far too much dog for where im going the owner was a knowledgeable chap who knows dogs and was respected in another breed so if this is his ideal then so be it all breeds have differing opinions of good and bad but i think even a good one is the old sledgehammer to tap a nail in scenario for my situation.......must admit ive not seen dogs of these type wandering around attached to little wannabe street hoodlum types so i guess they are be

That's Oundle the complete opposite to every proper bandog I've come across. But then you've got bandogs and then you've got big old crossbred mutts. And that's the problem a lot of people don't understand what a true bandog is and how they should behave and there's a lot of people out there just throwing mish mashes of large breeds together and calling them bandogs. Its a bit like all these look at me I'm hard red nose crossbred mungrels about that you know aint any more a bulldog than the man in the moon but you try telling their soppy owners that.

I'm sure if any benders want to watch some gay porn they just go on the Internet like anyone else does for their porn these days.Dvd is old hat now.

What about when a good dog and bitch are bred together and produce rubbish. They don't get bred again but who's to say that if they were they wouldn't/couldn't produce a cracking litter second time around .Or what about when a litter of 6 produces 2or3 belter and the rest are shit.Sometimes you'll get good sometimes you'll get shit I don't think first, second, third litter from same parents has anything to do with it.
-
Last litter could have been inferior due to both parents being very old. Downsouth I have heard this about old parents before but didn't really believe it, what causes it? As said before im planning on breeding my bitch that's eight, would she be classed as old, thanksEight should be fine but HPR said they had 4 litters over 8 years so if the parents were both 2 when they were first bred they would have been 10+ when the last litter was produced. If a couple of 60-70 year old people had a kid you wouldn't be suprised if it didn't turn into a fine specimen of a man or woman.

Minces about with a wee frenchie these days... Must be true because I heard that too from a mate who knows what going down with all the bad boy London Gangsta's

John from Hunter kennels doesn't keep neopolitans anymore but a lad down near me has 3 or 4 down from his stuff.Hes into the Cane Corsos now which share a lot of common ancestry with the neos bother being from Italy.Never knew he had anything to do with Alanos.Ive only seen a handful of them and they were all shit they are just another one of these next best things that come with a load of bullshit and hype and a 2k price tag.
