  1. If thats a couple of months old it looks like she's gunna make a good sturdy bitch.
  2. How old is she mate.Looking at the brickwork behind her I'd guess she's about 18" at the moment.
  3. I thought she actually looked quite a small bitch but quote a lot of Mali bitches are small.A lad I train with imported a very well bred bitch she's super high drive but looks like s little black fox.
  4. What height and weight is she mate.
  5. I don't own one but I'm friends and I train with a good few lads that do.Id say unless you're serious about competing in knvp or IPO don't bother and even if you do intend on competing but have no experience with this type of dog you'll probably better of doing your apprenticeship with a well bred shepherd as it will be a lot more forgiving to any mistakes you might make along the way with training.A lad I know has a very well bred shepherd bitch pup who's 8months and coming along lovely but after watching clips on YouTube of herders/mails he recently paid top money for a pup out of a knvp dog
  6. The bitch is 25" and he wanted to bring the size down so he impregnated her himself I believe ?Trouble is they'll have really spindly legs.
  7. That's why it's called mma and not boxing.Nate was beating him standing up towards the end that's why gobshite made the stupid mistake of trying to take the fight to the ground then when nate started pounding him on the floor he turned his back on him.The second he turned over he'd given up.Diaz could have tried to take him to the floor a lot earlier knowing that's where he'd have the advantage but was happy to stand up and trade with him.
  8. You said it Bro. I was only saying to my Mcgregor loving pals last night that I hoped nate would take the mouthy c**t to the ground and choke f**k out of him.
  9. A pal of mine who works in the security industry came down to mine last year with a Dutch herder for another pal of mine to pts after he'd had it a couple of weeks and realised that the dog was out of control and an accident waiting to happen. He later found out that it had been used in the prison service but had done a couple of screws it then went into the police force but was too much so was passed onto someone else before it was offered to him.
  10. I know a couple of lads that have had the jab and the bitch hasn't took.Ive heard a teaspoon of wheatgerm oil on their grub once a day is meant to bring them in and royal jelly is meant to be another natural product that can help.
  11. I feed eukanuba puppy or did I've just changed to the endurance.Cheapest place I've found is zoo plus.I only give a small amount though twice a day with plenty of meat fish veg and fruit.Use it more as a mixer.
  12. where i live you need one, hes not a dog to leave to his own devices but if he wasnt here i would be in same boat as a few of my neighbours who have been robbed and some attacked in their own homes and left tied up + he is a lot more fun than a mastiff as im able to try my hand at pretty much any sport just for the hell of it because he is such a versatile animal we do IPO style training as well as agility, dock diving and play SAR type games with him and the kidsExactly Gem that's what I was getting at.Ive lost count of the amount of lads that have come to our club and decided they want a Mal
  13. A well bred and we'll trained mastiff/bandog type will do just as much damage if not more the difference is when they are not working they should lay about and chill out which is why I believe they make a better property guard . Whereas most of the European herders are highly charged and constantly switched on and need constant mental stimulation this is why they excel at ipo and knvp style sports as they are hard wired for that type of training but is the reason they are less suited as an out and out guard as you'll end up with a dog going off its rocker at every little sound and eventually g
  14. A decent terrier doesn't need entering it just needs getting out and about and to see the world for the first year or so then take it to an earth with something in it.
  15. I see what your saying mate and have said the same myself many times that there more of a protection/patrol dog than a yard dog/gaurd dog that can do its job without having a handler there. As I've said I wouldn't trust anything that bleeds to protect my family or property but my parents like having a couple of gaurd dogs about there place and the best by far they've owned is American Bulldogs from good lines but again I think they are getting harder n harder to find (good ones that is). I've owned ABS for over 15yrs but given up on them now.im not saying you won't find the odd decent one but
  16. I'd class them as more of a patrol dog to work alongside a handler. They are far too highly strung to be left to their own devices guarding a property.Dont get me wrong they are fantastic dogs at what they do but I think the big mastiff types are more suited if you're just after a dog with natural territorial guarding tendancies. Also because a lot of mails are being used for sporting purposes they seem to be becoming very prey driven and getting a lot smaller. Some of the bitches are getting tiny.I train with a few security lads a couple of times a week and just last Sunday they were saying if
  17. Sweet Jesus, they say dogs look like there owners ... N that's one ugly dog lolJust kidding mate, he's not THAT ugly I'm lucky it isn't my dog thenWhat breed is it mate ? It's a fair old lump, I just dunno what a dog like that would be for.If for protection id rather a nice fit type shepherd dog personally , altho I've never seen what one like that can do! is that a boerbol x ken ?It's a cane corso Ray ....... thanks ken, they similar to the presa wonder if they better guard than a gsd or bel mal .?They're more similar in temperament and behaviour to a neopolitan mastiff Ray as t

  19. I know 3 fellas that have them.Where did you get your one from.
  20. Think you hit the nail on the head saying the lads who do lurcher work keep the bull crosses. The alaunt would not be used for general (or heavy) lurcher work from what I've seen. It's a more specialised dog and the 2 shouldn't really compare. The all round bull cross would without a doubt leave the Alaunt wanting when faced with a variety of lurcher work tasks. So what does the Alaunt specialise at that a decent bull cross couldn't do because for the life of me I can't see what adding a non working breed like a bull mastiff to a bull cross could possibly bring to the table. Think you hit

  24. I like dripping on hot toast but don't think I could manage it in a sarnie.
