They use the Johnson type in Russia That baying dog would do my nut in. Russia is one of the very few places a Johnson dog wouldn't be blowing out of its arse in 2 minutes.

You beat me to it there JD

If I had a decent lurcher I wouldn't risk f##ing it up on boar.A game dog that tries to fight or kill a boar is going to end up a dead dog.You want a sensible dog that will catch and hold.

About half an hour.A mate of mine told me where they'd got on a good few a few years back. Then another mate told me he was coursing at the exact same place a few years back and a keeper came to them.Whilst he was having a rant at them he told them to stand still they looked round and saw 6 full grown and about the same amount of piglets running across the field. So me and a pal went to the exact same place and saw five out in the fields at 10 o'clock in the morning within 15 minutes of being there.

Seen them in the daytime recently and not just a couple either.

had them in the 80s, they were good in the old days 1930s , when were used as keepers night dogs . but today bull mastiff are unfit, docile and to big to work proper, the old dogs were about -100lb fit agile dogs, todays pet stuff show stuff go up to 140lb slow+ bad hips ,the only bullmastiff I seen any good today was x to a pit it looked more like the old type bullmastiff of the 1930s. if wanted a good guard/watch dog get a well bred Alsatian from working lines, a 80lb male will stop any man , and be far more alert than any bullmastiff Agree 100% on the Bullmastiffs Ray Wou

Out of the 3 so called lines mentioned only one of the dogs was bred out of proper bulldogs. And the reason their famous is because of the hunting life.

seen a few superstars from other areas quit in the hard stuff (dogs and diggers)When you've got a dog getting results week in week out in that stuff you can be pretty confident on taking it anywhere for a dig.It can be a right pain for getting pups started though.

Depends what part mate.Travel a mile in one direction from my house and it's the worst chalk and flint you could imagine travel 1 mile the other way it's sand then as you go further towards the coast it's clay and then peat.Just my luck 75% of my permission was in the hard stuff.

99% of home security dogs probably go their whole lives never having to stop a man but you don't know how many would be burglars they've deterred just by being there. If all you're after is home security an alarm and maybe a yappy f****r would be all you need but if you enjoy owning this sort of dog why not add an extra layer to your home defences? Personally of all the guard dogs I've owned only one has actually had to do the deed on my property and he did everything I'd expect of him, held the scrote in a corner pissing his pants until I got home and dealt with it Well I was hoping you

if you had a lot of valuables and lived in an isolated place, would you not feel a little bit happier having a well trained protection dog with you? or more so with your wife when you went out? I can't see the courts destroying a dog for defending it's owner in it's own house from a burglar, not because they aren't c**ts,but because the public outcry would be huge. Surely the courts would throw the book at you if you had a professionally trained attack dog that savaged someone while you were there? Savaged? Yes. Bite and hold until you give the command to release? Not so cut and dry.

i didnt realise that. i looked into them not to long ago as i thought they would make me a decent working lurcher if crossed with a grey. i have read that there is sometimes gsd blood added to them very occasonally at times but have never seen any mention of bull blood being added to them. The KNPV dogs are still regularly outcrossed with Belgian Mals, GSDs and the odd bull, they don't give a fook about keeping things pure it's all about working ability, just how it should be My mate who I train with has a herder with an 1/8 very well bred bull blood in it.Proper full on dog with off the s

Not so true mate!! Enlighten us then. Enlighten you on what? Lamb rings will work on whatever you put them on, warts on horses, casturating lambs, removing there tails, that's there purpose. Putting them on a dog you are doing so at your own risk as has been said. It's upto the individual if they want to risk it. Will it work? Yes most definitely. If your a cruel enough c##t to do it. Lol, if you say so!! far better than a wofking dog going around with a big raw bleeding mess at the end of his tail forever more!! Not so true mate!! Enlighten us then. Enlighten you o

Typical big tough black terrierman.Next you'll be saying plummers are only good for killing rats. -
A mate of mine had a few kc parsons from Gouldy in the early nineties.A few of the lads ranted on about how hard they were but any I saw do any amount of work a spewed it when it weren't going their own way.All of them were right gassy twats that would kill pups if they got the chance.
