  1. Oh yeah just like game bred bulldogs never bite people.
  2. I don't think it's got anything to do with over popularity or bad breeding with the pressas. From what I've seen including some apparently very well bred dogs in the hands of some very experienced handlers/trainers they are just bad c**ts that want to do anyone.
  3. The Dam to my young bitch is a Hunter kennel neo.
  4. Spot on there BGD if your going to train with this type of dog first thing to do is find a a trainer who knows what he's doing and not some idiot who thinks you just whack a dog with a stick. And second you've got to be prepared to put in the hard work to teach the dog decent obedience and control so your not walking around with a liability on a lead. The problem is a lot of these f***ing idiots haven't got a clue and start winding these dogs up then get bored after a few weeks and move onto the next new thing.
  5. One of my pals who I train with had a pure Neo from KC stock.Shes not as over exaggerated as a lot of the show stuff but she still weighs about 130lb.Typical neo laid back chilled out but always watching what's going on but if a decoy does a bit of agitation with her she has to be back tied to a very strong spring fixed to something solid as there is no way a man could physically hold her.Ive noticed even with the show bred monstrosities they might be physical wrecks but they have all seemed to of retained the same mindset.
  6. Don't get me wrong if you wanted to turn one into a right c**t it wouldn't be the hardest thing in the world to do but a dog like that doesn't suit my needs.Right from a small pup mines been to boot fairs markets, the beach to the playground with my nipper I even took her to silly puppy classes. She loves everybody when we're out but she's just turned 6 months and in the last few weeks she's made it quite clear that as soon as it gets dark she won't tolerate anyone near me.I haven't praised her for it but I haven't bollocked her for it I just keep her on the lead if it's dark. Also we've got shi
  7. Not really mate quite a few pressa types but they're not really my cup of tea.All the ones I've met seem to be switched on all the time and never seem to be relaxed.Im no expert on neos or neo based bandogs but like anything I get into I make a point of researching and meeting as many as I can and they all seem to act exactly the same and carry the same traits.Like for instance when we're training sleeve work when the decoy slips the sleeve you run a little circuit with the dog carrying the sleeve as a little reward.Every neo or cross I've seen work spits the sleeve out as soon as the decoy s
  8. If some scummy c**t breaks in my house when my missus and baby are there and my dog does them I'll worry about the law afterwards.Too right mate, i just was wondering where the law stands. Difference between a dog doing its job and some ego owner with a dog he cant handle. Sounds like your dogs are spot on anyway, like the idea of them being able to turn off. Sort of sounds like a dog more confident in itself rather than constantly wanting to grab anything like a man biter. A few presas have caught my eye but like all breeds alot of shit out there too. Suppose just got to do some homework b
  9. That's what I like most about about all the neopolitan influenced bandogs I've had experience with. They are laid back chilled out relaxed dogs that seem to take that extra second to weigh up a situation.Theyre not demanding if you want to take them for a good long walk twice a day they will happily go if it's pissing it down and you don't fancy it they will just chill out. They are no different to any other dog as far as dog as far as dog aggression goes if socialised from pups they are fine. And one thing thing the all seem to do from an early age which they definitely get from the neo is guard
  10. The group of lads I train with try to put our dogs under different types of mental stress and pressure whilst doing protection work ie smoke bombs,chainsaws/leaf blowers revved in their faces, working on unstable surfaces.strobes just to give you an idea.As well as being put under physical and mental pressure by professional Decoys.A lot of people think a decoy just puts a sleeve or suit on and gets bitten but I've seen good decoys make dogs crumple just by approaching a dog a certain way. Then as well as the protection and environmental stuff we then expect them to switch off and act calm and s

  12. Keepdiggin I've tried to pm you but it's saying you can't receive messages
  13. My last AB was a half sister to his Ranger dog.His pressa is beast and his Dutch herder is off the scale.but even he would tell you that their not the sort of dogs you could have in a family environment. They are perfect for the type of jobs he takes on but even he admits his life with them is very stressful. He was laughing yesterday because one minute my young bitch was doing back flips for a bite. Then 5 minutes later she was fast asleep in her cage with the tailgate of my motor open whilst 3 shepherds were going bonkers 10ft from her. Then 10 minutes later I had her in a down position inches f
  14. We've got a couple of venues that we use but my favourite is a disused nightclub in East London where our main decoy sometimes does night security to stop people getting in and squatting as this has happened in the past once by eastern Europeans who put massive grow on in one of the cellars and another time buyers new age hippies who were doing illegal raves in there. Both times the council hired the company he works for to do the evictions. Its a fantastic venue for us as it has numerous cellars, corridors.Staircasses and other dark little rooms that go under the adjoining railway lines. Some
  15. That's the thing SHOULD unfortunately many have problems ranging from nervousness to over aggressiveness and don't get me started on the nemerous physical and health problems that seem to be becoming more and more common with them. Any big breed that gets popular suffers this,I thought the split between performance bred ones and the big show ones might have helped. The problem is perforce is just a word.Hardly anyone are out performing any task with them. Most just call them working lines because of a few legendary names 6 generations back on a pedigree that half the time was fabricated by s

  18. Swallow were used to show you'd done time different parts of the body showed how long the stretch was.
  19. I didn't say you couldn't find a well bred pressa I said I dint like their temperaments. They seem to be switched on all the time.I know of at least 8 that have turned on their owners. And as for 5he bulldogs they've become a joke and that's not me just being a twat I kept them for over 15yrs and my one of my best pals brought a lot of 5he early bulldogs over in fact his dogs can be seen at the back of most of the hines bred dogs pedigrees over here.He switched over to bandogs years ago because he said the bulldogs were too inconsistent I just wish I'd of listened to him yrs ago.And as for decen
  20. yeh , funny thing i feel the same as you there far to heavy, if you look at some of them there like docked bullmastiff, ok they got other breeeds in them, but any dog over 140 lb get probs HD for a start not long lived , blout, etc them boerboels go up to feckin 200lb noway can they be healthy . if really wanted a big guard type dog i go for a (ban-dog) pit x bullmastiff or maybe a kangal there about the most healthy of all the big breeds to day, as yet they aint been got hold of by the KC asyet, but that prob wont be long either, once a dog becomes popular they feck them up .! Not rea
  21. Certainly couldn't hurt You might want to look into Ester C too, I've heard great things about it preventing HD in later life when given to pups, not sure if it has the same effect on already fully grown dogs but worth looking into. We tried all that years ago mate with the American bulldogs and it made no difference. Some that were given Ester C and another hyped up product called prevention still got CHD and some that just got normal food every day were fine and vise versa.I think it's all down to genetics good breeding and a little bit of luck.
  22. I don't believe the blackuns were ever meant to be small.
