    My son and i where out ferreting this morning a farm on a quiet estate and i thought it was funny the dogs where going past the burrows with out a mark , then we found out why there where pegged snares set in the mouth of the burrows , This place has big sandy burrows i use 4 foot nets 20 meshes wide then we started picking up nets after we got home i measured them 2 foot 10 inches long and 12 meshes wide no wonder they left them but the pegs where meat skewers LOL

    Great going mate keep at them . i got knocked back from trapping them at a campus because they where worried about a picture of a trapped one appearing on social media

    Ive never seen the need for anything like that or net pouches i sling a game bag over my shoulder with 50 nets in and try no to walk over a burrow more than i need too , when i finish put them in piles of 10 and pick them up . I dropped a unbreakable flask in my game bag one day and while it didn't break it certainly put a good dent in it i can see a bag like that offering the ferret much protectection

    Maybe nice if your having a wander but whats wrong with a pocket full of nets and a small ferret box under your jacket my problems always been carrying the spade , even leaving a spade the day before and picking it up when your going out you look a odd ball wandering about carrying a spade

    Used to get sent to a caravan at Anstruther every summer got many happy memories of searching the rock poles and eating crabs wrinkles etc

    As said maybe the dry food ?. the amount of water they go threw on dry shows how dry it makes them so maybe she was constipated

    As said spend the summer with her coming and going out of pipes in the garden and move real slow , let her come right out and pick her up , , but usually once a sulker always a sulker .That's why i let the kids play with any kits in pipes in my garden makes them bomb proof
