    its a good idea to keep a trap set 24/7 if you neighbours have crap in there garden or even feed the birds

    unbelievable they use mole tunnels to run underground in the dark. usually see they flying from one piece of cover to another

    .i'm doing okay got 3 freezers full of pheasants if i put one in every second day i should have enough to last me till i get out ferreting again , a nice result it let me sell any rabbits caught which i usually keep for ferret food , and if you let it know among the chicken breeders you usually land any cockerels before they start to crow and they need to get rid of them before they piss off there neighbours its a result all round if you dont have to put your hand in your pocket to feed your ferrets over the summer

    Too many eggs can make a ferret bald maybe i've eaten too many as well ?. i'm no in favor of feeding day old chicks either there just a egg covered in fluff they have never had time to make muscle or bone

    I rate a ferret that will bolt rabbits anywhere and work 4/5 days a week one day we might be in a big garden working under shrubs , the next day a hedge row then in fields at a farm near the beach working big sandy deep earths . i dont keep different ferrets for different jobs just good sized jills that have the stamina to put a days graft in . They get fed on raw meat and have access to it 24/7 i wouldn't go out and work on a empty stomach and don't expect them too they got to bolt it or kill it there's no use driving away up the farm road and there's a rabbit with a bald arse your ferrets

    Dont let him off the lead till you have worked on the recall and can call him back to you he could get stuck in a hole and suffocate

    Just back from greyhill's with the dog meat putting the bags into kilo plastic boxes before i pop them in the freezer , and i got a bag of bones gave the dogs one each to stop them getting in my road and there's a bloody crow and magpie trying there best to get a feed from the bones , Im thinking its time i splashed out for a clam trap to thin them out and stuff what the neighbours think

    Loads of geese still fly south from Loch Leven over the house and as you drive up the motorway there loads still feeding at the fields at the side . Bloody magpies are pulling the fibre out my hanging baskets at the house for nesting material

    Same here i didnt want to change but i think its a great system now , As on month you work every weekend next month your off every weekend , And holidays take 4 days off you actually got 12 days off its great
