  1. I saw her run a few times. I liked her.
  2. Is she the red feathered bitch? She will be about 5 or 6 years old now at a guess?
  3. As soon as the wet weather comes they'll be back. In summertime the moles don't go deep, they go into shaded places where there is more moisture such as wooded areas and hedgerows. IMO> Most of the time if someone has moles then it's going to be a recurrent thing, where they get moles at regular intervals. Not always, but often. I think Moxy hit the nail on the head....
  4. The Uk media are against him, because they fear him. He is the voice of common sense, he is the voice of the future of the UK. Whether you agree with all UKIP's policies or not, at least you know where you stand with him, which makes UKIP stand out from the rest. If Scotland vote 'Yes' then that will finish labour in the Uk and, i suspect, will help UKIP rise to the very top. It's now not a question of 'IF' but a question of 'WHEN'.
  5. Most of the Nikon's i have seen have all been great. I always tell people not to worry about buying an older second hand body. The lens is where it really matters. That said, it's the person behind the camera that makes the real difference... When the price drops on the 7D i will probably buy another two. I use the 50D for lamping photos, and a 400D and 450D for trips out when not taking action shots. The only trouble i have had is with a 70-200 2.8 L series lens. It's not sharp enough and the focus isn't right either. I have sent it back to canon but it's still the same no matter what bod
  6. IMO the very best canon camera for moving hunting photos is the 7D. When the 7D mkII comes out the mkI should drop in price. At present Jessops have them for less than £800 with a free 32g sandisk card. I have two 7D's and i rate them highly, they are well made and are build to last, if a camera can last a couple of years of the abuse I give them then they are well made IMO. All my kit of canon, but if i had to start again i would probably go for Nikon. I think the images are just that little bit better.
  7. He's still a great character though, I reckon he should be given a talk show...he'd be better than Wogan or Parkie.
  8. My favourite memory of Gazza was when he turned up at the Raoul Moat saga, with fishing rod, a KFC and a few tinnies, to try end the siege. The man's a legend.
  9. You obviously haven't ran the correct whites then . In the deep heather they are easy. It's due to the hare being handicapped by the deep heather. I dare say that a brown hare would struggle too if it had to run through heather 12-15 inches high. On short terrain the whites put up a good run. I've taken lads out with top class hare dogs and they've not caught even half of what whites they ran..... whites and browns and irish are all different animals and should be treat as such. Pet rabbit! Ran a lot more hares than you of all colours stick to writing books A big stateme

  11. Nope , irish hare are the same species as the mountain hare No they're not bud......they're their own species. Totally different in habits than a Blue hare...at present they are classified as a sub-species of the Blue hare but i think that they will be classified as their own free-standing species soon...

  13. i hope that they do vote yes. labour will be finished. This should mean the rise of UKIP with any luck. I bet Labour can see trouble ahead!
  14. I have never had a Talpex go off when there hasn't been a dead mole firmly caught....must be lucky i guess....
  15. How can a mole trigger talpex without being caught in it? Is there any rabbits in the garden scratting at the top of the trap and setting it off?
  16. I think you'd be best forgetting about the dog idea......but, if you ever did get a dog, make sure the mink won't bite it...
  17. I bet they wished they'd left the bees alone now!
  18. This is what i dont get...................why would an Englishman want to read the Koran ?.....why are you even interested in the Koran and familiar with it ? In order to defeat the enemy, you must first understand it....
  19. The woman wants suggestions by email i think, the email is on the post.
  20. I have been asked to put this topic on by DH as it is too late for the september mag. Hi there, A quick query from Ireland. Would any of your readers have any tips & advice on catching two dumped lurchers running free in some waste ground, it's hard to find info I on the web and I thought your Magazine readers could help? We have contacted various charities but these dogs are so fast and very nervous. We are at our wits end. The charities have given up so we are trying ourselves. Owning only a lab & terrier, we've no experience of this breed. Smec1975@yahoo.com Susan Cruse.
  21. Seems a little early for fallow to be rutting. I would be thinking another four weeks at least.
