The government do not 'pay' for the third jab, I've not heard about it if they do and I'm speaking to vets all the time. The vaccinations process and thoughts are changing, it it now thought by many, myself included, that vaccinating a pup before 12 weeks is not only a waste of time but may cause the vaccine to not work properly. I get pups jabbed at 11-12 and 14 weeks. If possible.

There's something you want to consider between when you start work and when you die....and that's a life. No second chances pal...

Beast i don't know how many of those types there'd be left today. It seems we've all gone a bit too serious and specialised.......My first lurcher was one such dog, a bit of a cur if I'm honest but he caught some gear and helped me through a difficult childhood. Lived til he was twelve...I often think of him all these years later..... before that dog came along I was hunting with a gang of local lads with a variety of mongrels, you might call them a bobbery pack if you wanted to glorify them. In two whole seasons hunting, both summer and winter as we didn't know about seasons, we caught the

There's still some tackle about matey, but only to those with a set of wheels, a desire bordering on obsession and a keen cunning running dog..... It's all that bit harder though I reckon, technology hasn't gone in our favour. There's less wilderness about now, houses popping up everywhere, all the rough fields of my youth seems to have gone to horse fields, each surrounded by electric fence and with the owners of the nags thinking they own the bleedin world! They don't realise that you've been walking those fields since before they were born.... It all counts for nothing..... I feel sor

;) there's one out next year....50,000+ words, hundreds of lamping shots, including some that are exceptional. IMO. But then again, i am biased!

You're right there Tjones. Another thing Fuji and I were discussing is that there's not many willing to put the miles in either. Those six or eight hour round trips sort the men out from the boys. It's a hard game and I've seen lots of lads jack, lots and lots. Talk is cheap and alot of lads are looking for an excuse to jack it in. One minute they're shouting from the rooftops, the next they've spewed it.....jackers always find an excuse to jack, real dog men always find an excuse to keep on keeping on....

That rape stubbles the worst stuff, the last time I had a morning long netting hares we laid 300 yards of net and the best place co-incided with a field of rape stubble. That took some cleaning up I can tell ya! We got what we needed to get, so picking stalks out is just part and parcel of it all. One thing I learnt when netting at night is to set the net a little farther out from the wood if you can, there's a few less snags and debris out there than tight against the woods edge.

Didn't the old bailiff throw himself off the bridge to commit suicide there? I've rooted around there a few times over the years....cracking spot. Actually got a very old photo of it somewhere..... Great pics....

Don't confuse vets and bone men....they are completely different. A good bone man might just have your bitch up and running almost straight away. Good luck.

I used to own white terriers bred from 'patterdales'. They were better than the coloured ones in the litter should truth be told. IMO there's no such thing as a 'pure' patterdale and anyone saying they are is out for the $$$$... there all manner of other breeds in the mix and I always think the white comes from sealyham or russell more than bull. But thats JMO. Thing to remember is that you can't see it's colour when it's six foot down and working its heart out in the dark.........

squirrel....

oil painting that dog...very nice...

It is natural to have dark fallow. The menil colour we all like has been produced by breeding for that specific trait. left alone the meil dies out and is taken over by the dark brown.

did you sell them frozen??? $$$$$$$$$

Any Tips On Body Grip Traps?!
J Darcy replied to trenchfoot's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
I'm no expert but if it were me i would be trying to trap the runs TO the food source as that is where the rats will be travelling the quickest and most vulnerable to trapping. JMHO....Good luck -
D nN, that 'albino', did it have orange colouration and a darker undercoat to it's fur? p.s, yes that one is a silvery/blue colour. Third i've had from that area in four years.

I wouldn't smear anything on the trap...there's no advantage to that. You want the rat to travel through the BG setting it off. However, IMO the best method (if you have to use BG's for rats) is a pan to fit onto the triggers, bend it over toward the direction in which you want the rat to approach from in a single ended cubby. But thats just MO.
