    But that can also come down to the skill of the owner on how he enters the dog to each of its quarry ... If it's rushed then the most potential of dogs could be spoiled and if held back the full potential may never come to the forefront ... Obviously you get bad dogs as with all things in life but I was talking about guys that continually swap sell buy new dogs ... Every dog they have had can't be a bad dog surely ??? ..............     But it's not just about obedience, but also ability. A man can only do so much, in the end the dog has to do his part too. And some don't make the grade, pure and simple. You can train them to do anything, sit, stay, lie, retrieve fur/feather/land/water, they work the gun perfect, the long net, the ferret, but if they are bottleless and don't have the minerals to hunt what their owner wants them to hunt then there's nothing,nothing he can do about that.     If you have permission you cannot be found guilty. The law does not stipulate which breed of dog can be used for ferreting, or for flushing to the falcon, or to the gun, or indeed just rabbiting. It ain't what you do, it's the way that you do it.     Cocker, that hunt isn't just being 'protected' by the police , they are sometimes targetted by them too, undercover ops, videoing to try and get enough evidence to make a charge stick as what happened last year. The hunts are carrying on, good luck to 'em, they have the landowners blessings and it's 'business as usual'. Good on them I say, we're all in it together.

    The Warehouse was always over-rated IMO, I didn't like the bouncers either, they thought they were gangsta's! Ricky's AKA Gallery was where we'd head for after a few beers on the way in student land. The Uni held SOAK and KAOS nights and suddenly it became 'en vogue' to produce arty and expensive fliers, in fact, in my youth i printed a few flyers for those nights. Then there was the Chocolate Factory, later re-named the Music Factory, a proper poncey spot full to the gills with posers, but that's the direction everything went in. By 1993 the novelty had worn off and everything had gone too

    Back in those days it was all tapes, the savvy DJ's would record their set and you could buy it afterwards, Manchester was several months ahead of us in the east, my mate used to bring me tapes over and they were very popular amongst our little crowd. Wish I knew where they'd all gone, had one called 'Club 4 megamix' that must have been copied hundreds of times, wish I could find it. Happy days and now all well in the past.

    my keeper so 42 in one field on the lamp.i walked it two days later and got one retrieve.They are there.but where is the question. I know a place with a similar picture Snoop, drive through at night and we'll stop counting as there are too many either side of the vehicle, walk it by day and you'd be doing well if you seen one or two! What i've noticed over the past few years, this year especially, is how much hares are sitting in woodland by day, rather than out in open ground.     Lets just say this. Good luck catchin a white tail with a dog unless the situation is way in your dogs favor and catching a pronghorn aint friggin happening unless something goes drastically wrong for the goat. Thanks for the reply. I've always wondered about Pronghorn. They said that the Blackbuck of India was uncatchable but I think some pure saluki's caught them by a war of attrition. How would, say, a greyhound compare to a whitetail, speedwise? thanks JD
