    It's 100% a dunnock......when i used to keep birds it was always a buzz to enter the aviary and see that first deep turquise egg nestled in a dog-hair cup. cracking birds, but mostly flighty, though I did have one that was very steady. Great pics.

    There's alot of eletism in molecatching it seems.....it's not exactly rocket science though is it. If someone wants to make a couple of quid then good luck to them, the pro's have got to make sure they're the ones who get the work before it reaches 'the man in the pub'...Qualifications don't mean Jack.

    I think I paid a tenner for it......but that was years ago. So I don't even know if it's still available.......... Just had a look for my copy, but can't find it, probably rotted away somewhere with all my barbel gear!!! :laugh: like several other books have done in the past. I was gutted when I forget I'd left mega-Pike II in my tackle bag and the slugs tried their best to destroy it before I realised! :laugh: One thing I have noticed about modern-day fishing is that there's no Tommy Ruffe...where have they all gone???

    Was it a black book with white/silver writing on the front called 'Top Ten'?? For me i loved Redmire by k Clifford........ A true great, historical read. I couldn't put it down.....Fishing today has been ruined by the carp waters, and it's never going to be able to rewind the clock back.     Are we sure that the Victor type trap is legal? I was always under the assumption that 'impale' type traps are illegal. ?? ‘mutilate, kick, beat, nail or otherwise impale, stab, burn, stone, crush, drown, drag or asphyxiate any wild mammal (including deer) with intent to inflict unnecessary suffering’ being the wording.

    My guess is that a female munty had a small fawn very near to where dog's are exercised. She was aggressive and made the first move in scaring the dog, which meant she attacked them. This was April, so the fawning date would be accurate enough and that is why five dogs were injured in that exact vicinity. IMO.
