  1. Do not see this as a problem, it is an opportunity! If they tax the income then the expenses are claimed against tax; so boots, waterproofs, travel; etc. Do you work dogs beating? Then dog food, vets bills etc etc You should be able to claim as much back as you earn with the typical low paid 'second income' from beating
  2. Totally agree with hedge hunter - a 210.5 and buy a couple at a time been using them for years as did my father before me.

  8. Gents, I have done a lot of work into this. with an accountant, and the article was published in Countryman's Weekly a few weeks ago. Bottom line it is not a great issue for either the shoot or the beater/picker up provided you are not employed by the shoot - would it help if I was to pub the details on line?
