thats where the other breeds can iron few things out above , but suppose its a gamble when you out cross to other type dogs , you really never know what you get in each pup, but it worth the risk to get other qualities of the coursing dog .
-
and plenty of stamina , put that with drop of pit , or collie you get very useful hunting dog day and night , the pit x grey x salukis x grey seems another good x . i knew bloke in the 80s who had saluki x grey x collie x grey , big 28in 75lb dog Tip, took loads of rabbits, killed few foxes , and few munchack , and few hares in the day, everything solo . drop of coursing blood deff helps any lurcher line , same as drop of pit, or collie, gsd , in the mix , all good hybrid vigour as they say .

haha had to laugh mate .lol

dont know nothing about this decoy hitting the arm stuff, but can see what you mean if kept on his feet, ive played about with my 2 dogs few times picking them up playing ect Bryn 61 lb, Buck 30lb heavier , i know one thing deff with Buck speed and power he take any man down, he cover the ground quick with long strides and get speed up quick for a big dog , he on his quarry fast. ok he soft as shit with people/dogs , but i think a gsd of similar size with the temp that guards would do similar as the dog in vid, but i do think them bel mal look impressive and they prob sharpe

the drink killing him slowly , by the look of him, when it gets out of control and you do things like this , you got to finish with it, if been drinking, if not drink he needs locking up for his own sake , and joe public . But if he was pissed and we all been pissed up, there some lines you dont cross , and messing with other human beings is one of them .
-
bloody hell what was that, a bel mal ?
-
yeh not bad interview that, think he beat wilder , unless he runs out steam, if that happens money on wilder .
-
what do you think of the 1/4 wheaten 3/4 grey, thought that be good lurcher , would have thought guts in it and not bad stamina with pace, most 1/4 bred of most xs make good lurchers. this dog was 1/4 pit 3/4 grey plenty fast enough not bad wind when fit , catch most stuff you put him on , full on type dog , this was in the 80s
-
good point joe, looking at the bigger pic, it lot easier to buy in than breed for the reasons above , thinking about it bit more mate .
-
deff a coursing bred dog, you put bit better feet, pace, stamina, bit of height , be spot on for you . collies, gsd , have very good feet and stamina, most herding dogs do put back to running dog another good x , both my 1xs have fair pace , but a good coursing dog fit the bill for you .

Simon on here used to have one, not sure if it was ebt x grey , or ebt x lurcher .
-
you never know, one thing though , who ever wins, Aj and his team will deff be looking at both fighters , to see how they shape up if they ever do fight him .? h ope the fight still happens even though it not getting alot of interest , next April Aj fighting might be even Dillan Whyte again, or even Usak he going up to heayweight , he do it easy at 6ft 3 in 15st , he could put 10 lb and knock most heavyweights out, he hell of a puncher .

never had wheaten x grey Fred , so only going on whats lot of people have said on this type hybrid , that they can be very dog aggressive more so than lot of pit x greys. Now pit x greys i do know about having had this x before , and mine were not to bad with other dogs, funny thing ive had more probs with feckin collie xs that will kick off with another dog . ok wont do the damage of pit x grey, but that stop the buggers me old dog Bryn 1x colli x grey , would never back down from any dog , even at 11 year old the old prat still the same lol. No just though t that dog like pit that bred

wonder if Mogg would step up for the top job, when she gone after xmas ? he very clever person, knows politics in/side out , but think he be only good for mid/ rich people in this country , not the working class, and low incomes . dont think it makes differnce who runs this country , either way we got to pay lot of money to leave . And another vote only tip to scale for the remainers , fook it lets go and stand on our own, be hard for few years but we pull through , there enough of people run this country with brains enough not to let is sink in to the gutter.

thanks , we bit of luck they take few of these then ,

Does anyody use whippets or small lurchers for rats
bird replied to Fat-Ferret's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
whippets and there xs are great ratters , just come back from we walk , and met a woman with 2 beddyx whippets bitches , nice little things, she was telling me killed fair few squirrels in the wood we use, they fly through all the cover and killed few going up the oak trees , so they do rats easy . -
it might mate , but still think even with another vote , we still leave, unless few people turn to Labour and follow that toss-pot

be great to see that, nature at its best. where i live now got a feeder for the wild birds sparrows , blue tits , etc , when we moved here 4 years ago , the one morning s/h fles in grabbed a sparrow , and was eating it alive . ok nature but feckin hell can be cruel at times . But funny thing is not seen one since, and get 10-20 sparrows feed every day , and no feathers or any sign that they killed any, but suppose they must have, pity they cant kill feckin rats got few of them things in the garden ..!

No mate, there no better, most are from show lines, and far to tall/heavy. deerhound types that used in USA yote dogs are very old line , that had bulldogs in them years back and other breeds, so mile away from a deerhound of to day. And when you read the history of the breed , they were bred to find deer and bay them, (not ) kill the deer , the huntsman did that with either bow or gun as time went on, they didnt want the meat over marked up.So a calm/ gentle nature was bred for, and it's in the breed of today , thats why people will put bulldog or wheaten in the x, to put some guts in to

looks a good'un i know a bloke who was in RAF and worked the dogs in there , they had some great like above , he had gsd from the breeding of RAF dogs all fit/healthy dog with good temps, but all good guard/watch dogs a 85 lb gsd stop any man , a gsd as powerful dog with strong jaw .
-
he reckons he stepping up to heavyweight, wonder if do any good ? i always thought when Haye went up to heavy , he never was at his best, his natural power and speed was at cruiser , Tyson was small in height, but had natural weight 15st 7lb as a heavy weight. Wonder what Gnasher would think about it, liked his input on boxing, wonder if he will ever come back on here ,?

my mates got on , 2 year old bitch built like a feckin tank , got to be near 11 st , great guard dog, but like alot of heavy type breeds , they got few health probs, the bandogs seem a healthy option if you like big breeds . What did you pay for it mate, my mates dog was £ 1700 quid , you get a scrap yard type or farm gsdx collie type for £ 120 quid good watch/guard dogs, and have quid left in your back pocket .
-
fair enough mate, and saved few quid , you should do well with it, they have good reputation .
