Cannot beat a slow cooked hare casserole or a pie, as good or better than roe venison to meI have only eaten Hare once (basically the first one that my whippet retrieved one day). It was possibly the worse tasting meat that Ive ever had. I usually cook it and feed it to my dogs, put some veg with it and it makes 4 very big meals so lasts me 2 days with my 2 dogsTry putting the meat in a bowl of cold water with some salt for a few hours or overnight this takes the strong gamey flavour away i do that anyway any rabbit /hare always soak in big pot of salt water with vinegar , it takes out

like whippet good rabbiters ,why not just slip the one dog per berry, that way they both get a run, and the rabbit wont get munched ,and you get a nice clean retrieve , it ok have 2 dogs loose if the one will give up its catch , when they dont you got marked up rabbits if its just dog food ok , but anything else one dog best .! -

was the dogs involved in the attacks male ridgebacks ? as ive said on here most dog attacks have come from males and not bitches, the bitch gives the odd growl when they had enough rough handling kids /people, but males of most breeds have norm the ones that have bitten people/kids , these are findings i read about in the dog attacks in USA and in England , most apbt's were males as well . just a thought .?

what they like as a watch /guard dog ? most of my bullxs were people friendly same as my pit bitch that i had back then. it be nice to have a lurcher that might guard a bit , my 2 are daft buggers , Bryn soft with people , Buck is 1/2 gsd but must have picked the grey temp regards people, he only switches on, when hunting, they reckon saluki and saluki xs are not bad as watch dogs , just wondered if the mastiff in the breed made them guard, as mastiffs will guard and bark abit when stranger comes to there place .

TBH, I wouldn't want to take one on. They're fearless and 100% muscle. Plus there's the stamina. They may not have actually killed the lion, but cornering a lion or bear is not something you're going to do unless you have something to offer. true , i come from a family of 5 children , the last one was a gap , but us other 4 was only 5 years diff, so yougg kids all together . Mom used hit us with either her hand and some times a old boiler stick on the bag of our legs , dad never hit us when we were young he was to busy/ tired from going to work 6 days every week . lokking back mom was under pressure with 4 young kids , so prob lashed out more of in temper and lack of patience , that been tested to the full. Went to have a shower / shave tonight , got me kit off, stepped in to the shower tray, went to pull the door which is on runners , next thing bang the door came off and glass every where, cut me top of me hand and cut by me toe . it the shower in the place as we bought it, good powerful shower no prob , the frame bit old we was going to have new bathroom next year or so, feck me looks like be lot sooner now haha so having shower with door open , floor getting bit wet outside , but that it really, but was very lucky, i could have been cut a lot worse .
