well just got back in , had fair bit of snow, didnt bother digging me car out, so went over the fields with dogs , old Bryn loves the snow he was play fight Buck they had great old time Ha Ha , suppose if a hare or a fox was seen, Buck would have gone flat out for them . he big dog and can still get bit of speed up in the snow, but it depends obviously how deep the snow is , get the odd hare or fox , but keepers shoot most stuff by me . was quite deep it slowed me right down walking it, never mind a dog running in it,

Ha Ha ok mate lol , well i know one thing deff , if you ever x her to our deerhoundx grey lurchers , they nothing like the yote hound you used as her father, thats why few lads here use drop pit in the deerhound and collie to fire it up a bit, more so if if not just on rabbits. supposde if you ever do breed from her you prob have bring a male yote hound over here , or try and get some straws sent over, to keep what you already got . i hope she ticks all the boxes for you when she older

good thread above ken, add to that , i would meet him up as he said, then after just see him few times a year, like as now , just pop round with xmas card or his birthday etc, just the odd visit , and leave it at that. Me and my dad never got on , if in the same room would end up like couple pits having a go, i looked after him when he was dying of cancer the last 6 months , we kind of made it up then , just before he died he told me i was a great son, any man would be proud of . i tell you what he been dead 6 years, and mom 11 years , bloody hell do i miss them, i even mis

thats what i though mate as well, them yote hounds tackle 40lb yotes which supposed real good fighters with strong jaw , our little 15-20lb fox got no chance lol. just think if you x that back to good bullx couple years time, you have some cracking alrounders there

very nice mate, do you know what in her regards breeding, i know from Dan post on here , his yote dogs were a very old line, near enough deerhound/ greyhound with bit of bulldog years back. trying to judge her size from that dog in the pic, she dont look to have alot of knuckle left on her wrists , maybe couple more months growth then thats it, what was the parents size , she got nice head and coat .

retrieving dummies like a Labrador but not lamped rabbits
bird replied to rob arnott's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
yeh thats true , suppose if just hunting rabbits, then retrieving would be top of the list , but if deer and foxes pre ban , maybe not so important , but few times Buck came out of woods with fox in his mouth, and brought it right up to me , wagging his tail , as if to say look what ive found Ha Ha , but he is good retriever anyway , better than old Bryn , and as said never really pushed it with Buck , as i knew he not just a rabbit dog .!!- 36 replies

true penny on lack of chemistry between dog and owner , but being honest here that deff can be brought on with the dog not doing as the owner wants. for example you get a pup that you think the x will suite you , bring the pup home , you got love for it , your family like it etc, it grows up not wanting to do any of your training , but you keep at it, as it s a pup , weeks go to months and like on this post 2 years. well a person can only have so much patients with any dog, so that love can sooner or later turn to hatred in the end deff, i think it deff helps picking a t- 36 replies

spot on phil deff mate, what ive found over the years , is herding type xs , seem to click on to it right away, all my collie xs retrieved Bryn ive got now quite good, but my best deff Buck , some of his rabbits have been real long distance , and he carried heavier things long distance as well , brill retriever .and never really did much training with him , think it was couple throws with canvas dummy , when he was 3 months old , then no more , took him out with Bryn lamping, Bryn bring the rabbit in, give it Buck to carry about couple mins, and when he got bit older, an- 36 replies

true a child got no chance , if a dog went for it, you watch any average size dog say collie , spaniel , chew on a good size beef bone , they crunch them up easy, all dogs have strong jaws , that do damage to us never mind a child . i gave my 2 dogs 1/2 a marrow beef bone each sat, i thought that stop that big fecker Buck chewing up his kennel like does , so i watched him for few mins, bloody hell he crunched right into the knuckle end easy with couple bites , got hell of a bite on him, these Bel mals be similar jaw , as said earlier just hope they go to the right pe

good threads mick, i think if Aj did fight Fury , as you say it be prob the biggest fight in Britain for years , and i think Aj prob loose , because i think he let the occasion get to him with the crowd etc , and he be trying to take Fury out early, and in doing so would gas out like his last fight, Fury would just keep moving about out of reach , and win him on points, maybe knock him out if his legs go towards the end of the fight . But if Aj can get to Fury early he will knock him out deff, lets hope it happens next year with bit of luck
-
if it came off next year , and AJ did fight Wilder , do you think AJ he beat him mick ? i not so sure !

1st, if its what i think you mean, its a a = Leonberger it a german breed, bred for nice temps and family dogs, not guard dogs , in fact the breed renowned for good temp, and would do as you say be good around strangers .They nothling like a gsd or Bel mal in temp , prob a gsd bit more easy going than a Bel mal . i know a bloke who was in the RAF as dog handler and helped the cops with regards what type gsd or mals to use in the force . ive seen his gsds ans Bel mals he got, i took Buck down to see him, he liked Buck old him how good he was with people and dogs , and
