  1. where you from mate , i think if you get the right bred dog , there nothing can touch them regards the job they do , which is control anything that bites back  . funny thing is the 1st poper bullx grey i ever saw was Tug 1x satff x grey  he was 26in brindle / white  just like a leggy staff , but fook me could he kill foxes day night  not bad speed and agilty, very strong dog with good jaw on him, he was bred in the black country  not far from where i was born  WOLVES  . It was seeing him work made me like  like pit x grey i had 3, but none were as good as what Tug was . i only keep herding type xs as you prob know , had few colliesx greys still got old Bryn now 11 in sep, but Buck deff the best herding type x of the lot of them, the gsd x grey far better x than any colliex grey,  he catch rabbits easy for big dog and do big deer and kill foxes solo , Bryn never would, but at my age now 65    taking the odd  deer or fox will do me know  , maybe have a pup out of Buck in the future   nice grey bitch he nice pups out of that, but 3 years away when old Bryn gone the prat still fit lol , and i only keep 2 dogs at any one time .  Ray

  2. make the best of them , as in 25 years time the big 8 will have disappeared for good , and be bloody shame as well .! only one black rhino left said on the news the other day
  3. he class act , wonder if white stripes will ever reform again
  4. very true mate , it deff may happen before i leave this planet , got the builders round today , both thought i looked good for me age, so in with a fighting chance .
  5. they should catch most edible stuff for you , and that bit of bull put bit of drive in there, but wanting bit more bull in there to give stronger type dog, it always gamble with more than 2 breeds in there, if you just wanted really stronger type dog just pit x grey is what i ave gone for . but with any type x you never really know how they will turn out, my 2 1xs have been great both catch good bags of rabbits, and the big dog other stuff if need be , maybe ive been lucky as 1 xs can throw either way. be nice to see how there pups turn out for the future .
  6. yeh New Zealand another great place to visit and live, ive a mate who got a sister out there , he been to see here , he went for 6 weeks, and every day went quick there . it great for hunting and fishing, he went fishing and seen the hounds there after rabbits and hares think he said. he didnt get go wild pig hunting, but said the lads/women who do it are very fit people , as because out there all pigs killed are carried on your back, back to the motor which could be 5-10 mile away, and its all up and down mountains etc , which be harder still . in Oz it all norm from a ute =motor
  7. and Oz like to spend month in each country , and prob live in Oz if i could get in to finish me days .
  8. regards lurchers killing foxes pre ban , you are right mate, it either in them or it's, not to have a ruck with charlie . most lurcher what ever the x, will start out up for it, but once they been pecked few times by charlie , alot of dogs can and do think fook it , rabbits are easier lol . And it really how many foxes your dog deals with in a night /day per week, people who did it as there main sport before the ban, and were happy with there dogs doing that job, thats where you look for a proper fox dog in my opinion .!!
  9. i use horse blankets , thats what the horsey people call them lol, they have them over the horses in the winter . there great for my dogs , as there nylon on the outside, and light fleece on the inside , so not over hot in the summer . And keeps fleas , ticks, etc to a minimum , my next door neighbor keeps horses , she gave them to me, as they were spare , they are great comfortable , plenty of room .
  10. might do mate, it prob just drop the bone down a bit from the Alsatian . you deff get good wind from them, not just because of the saluki , gsd have good wind and pace , like collies do , ive always thought that the gsd just like big collie in lot of ways, but more grit in them. prob a good coursing type dog would throw better pups , or like been said back to greyhound still get not bad wind plenty of pace , and better feet/coat than any pure greyhound , like most 3/4 breds have what ever the the x .!. would like to see these dogs out of interest and if they ever worked .?
  11. deff mate, pity there not more Asian / Muslim , etc like him on this topic, hope TM gets out soon, ive signed
  12. no mate lol, i do like drop of bull in a lurcher, ive had 3 bullxs before , no even though Buck good dog he ticked all the boxes for me deff. like been said on here , you get a big heavy dog with bull in the mix as well, plus Buck . he be better off back to pure greyhound bitch, somthing about 24-25in , you get some cracking pups from that breeding. But back to the lads post, nice bitch he got there , Trunk got nice lurchers as well , drop of collie and pit , to a grey , sound just about right to me .
  13. same here, spent many a sat there banging away at clays , dont shoot much now . but i did find it bit hard at 1st going on to live stuff , to clays as most times the clay slowing down from the trap, where as birds are picking up speed, so you follow through on to your target (pull thorough and fire) are at different speed .But after few shots i started hitting few birds ( pigeon , pheasant , partridge ) and rabbits , and done ok , ive got 12g 686 Beretta 7lb weight , so fair weight to carry all day walking about , but there good gun for both live stuff and clays
  14. nice x that , like drop of bull in a lurcher
  15. haha ten bob note , bloody you much be my age or older then mate 65 , christ ive been out my head on £ 5 pound note at 18 , room spinning round being sick lol , got to 23 still piss head fookin , came home black/blue must have up set sombody , dont drink much now 4 cans the weekend sat/sun , you got grow up sometime !
  16. she turned out nice , how much bull in her .?
  17. i went few times, used to go with few mates in big coaches , went to the last one, and it was getting very emotional , more so when that shower of shit turned up(antis ) , the cops had to earn there money that day . not sure how /if you could get on the ground today? yeh Bosun (paul) he might know .
  18. that was a cracking night that was , he did real well, i knew he can shift, has got long stride , so he covers the ground well, and i knew he surprised you lol , he does most people when they seen him run . And you speak sense mate, never really thought of straight grey bitch before, i only thought of grew =whippetxgrey , as the bit of whippet drop the size down bit more than pure grey bitch , but suppose if you used small type greyhound bitch, you might not get to big pups and even at 1/4 gsd 3/4 grey they handle most stuff you put them on , and make good lamp dogs, Buck always been
  19. i think all through the match it was only a question of time , when they were going to score , Liverpool wernt good enough, they were out gunned in every department . the goalie was pure shit , he made it easy for them .
  20. when i used to live in staffs by weston park where they hold the midland game fair , couple dogs got shot , it was just before that out break of foot/mouth we had few years back, one dog a boxer been shot seen running sheep, the 2nd was lurcher found dead from rifle . the 1st was the farmer fair enough the dog was attacking the sheep, but the 2nd they think it may have come from a keeper, thats what heard, and i done beating on 2 shoots there . think the keeper there got the sack, it was in the news at the time, but he was being done for something else .?
  21. same here Stan , even though i am a WOLVES fan , and we will play you next year, and hope we dont get to hammed lol, i am really up for this game to day mate . i really want the Reds to win, i hope to god they can pull it off and play to max abilty , go at them dont give them a minute on the ball , but think they will loose mate hope i am wrong , come on the Reds .
  22. try just boiled chicken and white rice Dave , it help with her gut , let it heal steady . this time of the year all dogs start eating grass , my 2 are like fooken sheep , Buck loves mint lol, got bit front of my garden , he make bee line for the stuff . and when they (farmers ) start spraying the fields be careful as well, even if your not in the fields the wind will take it in to to edge rows , to the next field , hope she picks up , maybe get ask another vet about them tabs mate .
  23. hope it get found quick by owner, lets hope a trigger happy farmer dont find him 1st, lot of lambs and sheep about now , they wont mess about with any dog .!
  24. from reading the views on a Oz site , yes they ( land owners) do like the pigs controlled on there land , and even though it a vast size country , they dont like poachers on there ground . it just the same over here on a smaller scale . where over here hunters just aspect that it goes on, over there it really frowned upon by hunters them selves . and pig hunters are up against it now in Oz , as like over here the antis over there are trying to get it banned from what ive read, hope they can keep doing it and fight a ban, and dont end up like us over here in England .
