  1. Any dog in particular.......Ive got a few more? Dens got more info if required.
  2. Yes, its called a variation, and its normally £26 per block of alterations. You can apply for as many amendments as you like for you £26. (doesna mean you'll get them though..........) Matty
  3. Thanks Matty. Might seem like a stupid but who pays for courier is that covered by the fee from the RFD? It is part of the senders responsibility, and is normally covered.
  4. Ring or go and see you RFD.......... He may........or may not charge you a fee for receipt. He will contact the sending RFD and fax a copy of his certificate to them, to prove he can receive the firearm. It will then be sent via registered firearms carrier (Norm TNT) to him. You can then go and collect it, he will fill your ticket out, and you contact and inform plod in the normal manner...Very simple.........Jobs a good 'un.
  5. Yep, handy little target holder!! I'll have to post some pics of my long range metal plinkers!!
  6. I always use a boreguide on my centrefires, but dont have one small enough for my rimfires. They are essential in my opinion if you intend to keep your rifle healthy for a long period of time.
  7. Just be careful with the information given........ .223 is not legal on all species in England and Wales. And yes, Tikka do make a nice, and normally accurate, rifle.
  8. I have Beater Trousers. They are comfy. And they are warm. I expect to get no more than a year, or two out of a pair of trousers though. The first pair went back to Seeland and the stitching came undone at the seem on the inside of the Knee. I waited 6 months near enough, to get them back. That may have been the dealers fault though. The same happened to the second pair as well. I still wear them, but they are not on par with a more expensive pair for quality. I would still buy another pair.(please bear in mind, I wear mine up to 5 days a week.)
  9. Gregor Macleod is a gent...For sure!! Has a lovely shop too!
  10. Have bought a few bits from him, and I'd agree his service is very good, I didnt find him cheap on the bits he had in stock.........but most importantly he had them IN STOCK. I just bought a rifle, a replacement .243, and had to do the deal down south, I got offered as little as 50% of the trade in value of my Rifle against an offer in Northampton. It was a shame I had to go south of the border to do a deal, But I am not going to pay £400 more for the same rifle to stay In Scoland....... I was shocked to say the least, and disappointed. It arrives on Wednesday, to my tame RFD who transf

  13. Its got nothing to do with hunting embarrassment ..............he's just shy!!
  14. £420 posted... You just dont get glass at this price of this quaility!!
  15. I have for sale a Zeiss Scope. 2.5-10x50mm FFP No.4 Reticle It is a difficult decision for me to sell this, as I simply love it. The glass is superb. The ONLY reason I am considering the sale, is I have sold the rifle I have it on, for a more range/Varmint Orientated set-up, from a Stalking set-up. The lenses are clear, there are a couple of small paint chips, indicative of a used scope, together with feint ring marks. But absolutely no crimps. I would consider a swap for similar quality scope with a finer reticle suited for target work. Preferably with low profile target turrets
  16. http://www.laminategunstocks.co.uk/ This is another option.....Ive just ordered one for my 527 in Hornet. Paul is very easy to deal with.
  17. I am sorry to hear you are having recoil issues. It can take some time to get over. .222 is not necessarily renown for a vicious calibre to be honest but if your not used to it..and you are feardy of it...then it is a problem. Are you hesitating when pulling the trigger? are you tensing up just before you pull the trigger because of the impending bang. One technique is to use snap caps...or spent rounds in your gun. Go to where you shoot with a friend. Get in to your shooting position, but have him load the rifle with either a live or a dummy round........you wil not know if it i
  18. I have had a few deep digs, but these are the deepest I've photo'd
  19. The most accurate load I get with 100gr soft point to date was 44gr N160 But it will vary rifle to rifle
  20. I have always been a fan of the 'Tilt to 45 degrees and give a hearty BLOW' method of rifle cleaning Works for me..........and if you do it soon after firing a shot...............cool smoke and stuff comes out the barrel.
