  1. where was these from malmo or fawcetts or other,
  2. just been looking at the above on guntrader in 8 shot but i am aware you can get it in 12shot can you have 12 shot in the uk? and yes i have a firearm certificate (closed) so i guess only a variation is needed can it only be used on certified land or can it be used like an ordinary shotgun on any land to which i have verbal permission, not checked by the firearms officer cheers guys and gals
  3. look at that eye popping out quite tempting to pikkle it and put it in the pickled eggs at the chippy
  4. .222 and .223 which is best? there identical (not literally) there is no best gun but there is a best shooter the gun is only as good as the operator to a certain point, there is a lot of posts regarding .222 and .223 i myself see the .223 as the more common and newer round an improvement of the .222 personally i like to look at the resale side if i decide to sell and .223 seems more popular and a very well liked round among us foxers i can get 55 grain hollow point federal 20x for £18,50 but i find 40 grain Nosler balistic tip federal 20x for £27,00 shoot much flatter and more accurat
  5. i use my work makita radio worked wel on a fox the other nite quite big i dont know how much walking you do but big sound is big speaker unless you have lots of money for bang and olufson
  6. ive only been shooting 6 months and been long range shooting 3 times now, currently i use a .223 sako 85 first time out once zeroed i was hitting 2-3 inch water bombs at 350yds no worries. last week was out shooting metal bird sized targets, water bombs and rabbits out to 400yds and with my mates .338 and 308 quite easily shooting rabbits at 600yds+ i personally find it very interesting being able to read the windspeeds dialing the windage and elevation and getting ur spotter to call the shot Only take the shot if your happy
  7. just had a nip out tonite for some ferret food for a friend, took the .22 quad and headed off, straight away the cross hairs are nicely positioned on a crow sat on the wall little squeeze and it fell like a green bottle, walking through the farm rabbit 40yds squeeze thud another for the bag, followed by a second, back in truck on way home juicy looking crow so off the wingmirror i took the shoot making it a second crow. Ferrets will eat tonite for my friend no pictures i guess you have all seen a dead rabbit and crow and i cant be bothered fighting off ANTI'S last one got shot and the inte
  8. worked perfectly for me thanks alot wish me look on bringing in the charlies
  9. 1st picture of dog fox was shot in chest, as it was face onto me the exit wound is shown on the picture, 2nd picture all were shot in the head vixen was shot with a 22/250 both cubs were shot in the head with .22 lr , 3rd picture cub was shot with 22/250, all foxes were killed instantly..... IF YOU THINK MY SHOT PLACEMENT WAS SHIT ? can you please advise as to where in your expert opinion i should be placing the shot for the best KILL, as for me first and foremost i dont like to wound animals and let them have a long painfull death. CANT WAIT FOR YOUR RESPONSE TO THIS ANSWER !!!
  10. people who fish take pictures of there catch and post on forums, people who modify there cars put pictures of them on forums, loads of like minded people post photos of there sport or interest for other like minded people the world will never be perfect so instead of calling genuine people "your a tit" who mind there own business and share there interest with fellow shooters why dont you go do what interests you and leave us alone go tell paedophiles to stop sending indecent pictures thats usefull or just go FI_ICK 0FF
  11. can people please read the original post as it seems ur all going off track something about how they should of dealt with the situation, my post was the descriptions given were over the top
  12. thanks for all your comments guys ive been doing my research and im thinking of .308 or 6.5mm something like that im going to pass on a .243 yes very good round but i believe there is better on the market, already having a .223 i feel a .243 is a little too close to the .223, been looking at the 6.5x47 lapua this does seem to have some great reviews
  13. yes i am fully aware of that but it makes thing sound so much worse for people who are aware of guns and calibres it was 45 mins away from me if i had been told by the news it was a large sniper rifle and he was heading in my direction i would fill my pants with the mucky stuff i would be thinking 338 lapua joe bloggs just thinks gun is a gun i know what a 22lr is capable off and i know what a 338 is capable of also
  14. just watching the tv program on derik bird and a guy describes the .22lr rifle he had as a very heavy large telescopic sighted sniper rifle the descriptions are way over the top in my opinion
  15. i also purchasedba NF 5.5-22 x56 first scope and ppl said spend as much as you can off i went £1300 quid later zeroed it in 3 shots 100 yards straight onto shooting water bombs at 350yds baloons were 2inch on average and a hell of a good hit rate, also using chart dialling in with 5-10mph winds at 45degrees not owned or used many other scopes but same as you i love mine and im well impressed
