    Excellent pics there Molly ,makes my efforts look pathetic but in my defence im trying to watch and operate the smoker at the same time so just the odd shot as and when .Ratting is underrated as a terrier pastime i know how much how it takes out of them and men [and women] when done properly.Well done to you and team .

    Blindfold him mate .Dont be so soft on the dog a second time mind as there really are some shite about .i never take a lad until ive known him for years .Too much to lose and he does the donkey work until i trust him .A place in a team has to be earned in my book but fair play to you for giving him a chance .Mess up and hes history mind .

    Grand total of 25 ,poor for the farm but the poison has taken its toll in this cold weather we were told . The pup with the long tail is quite an exceptional ratter and beats many of the seasoned veterans but the long tail dosnt do much for me im afraid and i hasten to add not mine ,lol.

    Seasonal mate ,you wouldnt want to miss out on the whole experience would you .Did see 7 deer over the other side the stream off piste because of the sheep i think but hopefully they will be back in spring when the bucks are in and you can experience the whole thing again .lol.

    The old stuff people refered too is before the money got a hold of things .I have always had the type but sadly recently the line is set to die out due to mishaps of one thing or another but thats my problem .Brian used to always breed for work until maybe 10 years ago when there was an upsurge in popularity for the breeding and he saw it as his calling to churn them out regardless of what they came from .As a result the overall size depleted somewhat but ,in the right hands, some still worked which was more luck than judgement .It is said that he takes back return s that wont work but unfor

    Too frozen for brickwork so a look out was in order .Tried a place where there is usually a large flock of Welsh sheep overwintered and sure enough the signs of sheep were every where .Decided on a sit in the seat as it was mid afternoon and the sun was quite warm here .Didnt have long to wait when a fox came out up the other end of the planting the seat overlooks and a squeak had him running .Well not directly to me it has to be said but rather in an arc around me ,through the thick hedge that the seat is in and under the wire of another planting and out of sight to reappear in a sheep field

    Waiting on scaffold on a job so popped out with the terrier to try a few places that need doing .The first 3 earths absolutely stank but the dog ,bless her said no .You have to trust the dog in these circumstances ,they really do know best .Seen a few terriermen get aggitated over this but onwards it was .Had the dog on a lead as all sensible terriermen should . Let the dog mark before choosing to let her off .Anyway all the well known spots were blank but i had lamped this last night and saw 4 so they were here all right .A bit of loose soil caught my eye in the middle of a big field so made

    What you can do Ian as a favour to me and others i suspect is get rid of that dating site that pops up between the posts .Got myself into a mountain of grief by accidentally clicking on it when scrolling down now the missus thinks im at it all over the place .Yes theres a funny side but theres a massive down side i can tell you .

    If you are only half hearted then the answer is no .Its not a matter of having to dig the dog out but wanting to .If it does start and you arnt 100% on the idea then give it away to someone that is .

    Shave your head and get a few tattoos mate or you will never enter that pup to ground , lol.There are a few lads out there that are past masters at starting a pup .The key is patience without which you may lose faith in your pup .There are many that say a dog shouldnt see much til its over a year but there are also plenty that start them younger .The key is not too much ive found ,leave them wanting and winning .The type i keep are slow starter ,ive learnt that, but i know a few strains that benefit from an early look ie wheeler .Not a great lover of the hole ending thing as i believe this f
