    Was a farce ,kept you hanging on to see a kill that probably was not allowed to happen .Matey getting near said it all with rangers behind him ,mesolithic my arse .We used to go bush in the summer hols ,3 of us granted with an airgun and lighter but that was it .im sure early man worked as team to hunt as well as the lone hunter and groping was all part of communal sleeping .Mother was just pissed it wasnt her had her tits felt .

    Havnt read whole thread but has the dog been worked off a quad box .Out the box in a hole back in box ,kennel, like many hunt terriers .known a lot of false marking from these box bound dogs ,a huge fault of the owner .

    I think the introductions made recently were of the European otter rather than our own native which is a tad bigger than ours .Dont know if its fact or hearsay .We have some artificial holts on backwaters here covered in rushes .Surprised we havnt come across one yet .

    Was stalking in the borders few year ago in a wood far away from water and movement caught my eye .It was an otter checking out rabbits holes .I squeaked but it never even looked up .The local barbel water to us has taken a hammering by all accounts but not seen one yet .One dead on the road near Salisbury last weekend though .

    One thing to consider with a quad is whitefinger if your doing the hours .Mate of mind in a lot of pain nights through fighting with the bloody steering day in day out .I would have a kobota type carryall with a steering wheel any day and quieter .

    Cracking last day mate . My own doe season has been abismal due to lack of roe in Wiltshire but well done on your bag and for achieving the cull plan something not easy with the pace of life these days

    Lol,my old headkeeper used to check the handshake and if it was a tenner he dropped it started coughing and drew everyones attention lol.Poor gun had to dip in or borrow a twenty plus he lost the tenner under heads foot .Used to make us smile .i would say 40 quid each would be about right these days mate .

    All the pieps run on 470 khz or something near that off top of my head so will work with all makes ,models .Belman however are the only company so far as im aware that have produced a collar for earthwork .The collar works with all makes of finder box with differing degrees of performance.

    This unit is very slow to boot up ,slow to search ,slow to pinpoint but accurate .like said if a budget is there it will do the job . The next model up however is very good
